Kate’s first parade! July 7, 2013
Happy 4th of July! Kate slept through half of the Blue Ridge 4th of July Parade. She woke up by musket shots and was able to watch the rest!
Happy 3 Month Birthday Kate! July 1, 2013
At 3 months, Kate is…
Smiling lots!
Has many different facial expressions
Grabs toys and hangs on
On belly will lift head and shoulders up
Recognizes mommy and daddy
Will return anyone’s smiles
Sleeping 7-8 hours a night in her crib
Has very strong kicking legs
Opens mouth and “kisses” back when you lean towards her face (she looks like a baby bird)
Sticks her tongue out a lot and licks your arms, shoulders, toys, baby Bjorne, etc.
Sits for 2 minutes in her bumbo seat
Loves riding in the car
Loves to be outside
Loves to listen to books and somewhat looks at pictures/touches board books
An absolute joy in our life!!!
And 100… Push ups that is June 29, 2013
These were the push ups I was able to catch. She has pushed up a little higher a few times, but normally she is just pushing up, looking around, and then turning her head the other way. It’s really cute! She doesn’t seem to be getting as frustrated on her belly as much as she was before!

Visit with the great-grandparents June 20, 2013
Kate had so much fun visiting with her Great-Grandma Mary and Great-Grandpa Adolph. These pictures are in Marietta. I’ll post about our great time in Blue Ridge soon!

Kate started smiling for real last week! Pretty much melts my heart every time she looks up at me and smiles.
