  • Since the founding of ICEJ in September 1980, the ICEJ has assisted more than 150,000 Jews to make Aliyah to the Holy Land. That represents more than ten percent of the Jews who made the journey home to Holy Land in the past four decades. They are coming from the north, south, east and west – just as the Bible promises.

The ICEJ has engaged in a wide variety of Aliyah efforts, working closely with other Agencies and other partners to help with the historic Jewish return. In addition, the Christian Embassy also has provided generous assistance towards Absorption projects that have helped tens of thousands of new Jewish immigrants settle into their new homes and integrate into Israeli society.

In Isaiah 49:22, the Lord says: “Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, and set up My standard for the peoples; They shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.” So we are invited by God to play a key prophetic role in the great Ingathering of the ancient people of the Land in our day. Please join us by supporting the ICEJ’s Aliyah efforts!

“Comfort, comfort My people!” says your God. Isaiah 40:1
From our Head Office in Jerusalem, the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem impacts communities throughout Israel. The ICEJ also connects with local representation in over 95 countries on six continents worldwide, and our reach spans 170 nations to connect Christians in those countries with Israel.

Join your voice with ours and become part of the Christian witness God is raising up to stand with and
    bring comfort to Israel today!

    THE PURPOSE ICEJ AID

    Who We Are

The International Christian Embassy was founded in 1980 to carry out the mandate of Isaiah 40:1 to comfort the people of Israel. ICEJ Aid has responded with giving to meet social needs within Israeli society through a vast network of contacts and relationships.

    OUR CHRISTIAN WITNESS

The ICEJ is committed to comforting and blessing the people of the Holy Land as the Word of God encourages us in Isaiah 40. It is our Christian witness and testimony to the people in need. Christ always did what the Father shows Him while He was on earth and it was always good deeds and preaching the gospel. Christ healed the sick, helped the out casts and fed the hungry and so many other deeds in the Bible. The Scripture teaches us to let our light shine in the dark and in the same that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Your continued prayers and donations make it possible for families across the nation to have their basic needs met. Thank you for helping the ICEJ to meet those needs.

Read on to see some of the work done by ICEJ Aid throughout the country as well as a description of several fundraising projects. We invite you to partner with us in showing Christian care by contributing to or fundraising for one of the enclosed projects.

    ICEJ AID

By supporting the extensive ongoing work and witness of the ICEJ, you are helping to fund our core activities in the Holy Land and around the world. We provide Christians the opportunity to bless the Jewish and Arabs that live in the Holy Land and comfort the Jewish people on a daily basis. Your donations will especially help us to act immediately in times of crisis, when we are needed most and can have the greatest impact and testimony of Christian love and reconciliation.

    What We Do

ICEJ AID’s vision is to build relationships, foster reconciliation and share God’s love through a wide variety of humanitarian projects that respond to the many areas of pressing social need.

ICEJ AID is run by a Christian volunteer team of Hebrew-speaking professionals qualified in the area of social services. Our staff prayerfully assesses each project proposal by establishing personal contact with the community, individual or organization involved; a process that brings them into constant contact with municipal authorities, community leaders and charitable institutions across the Holy Land on behalf of donors worldwide.

ICEJ Aid supports locally administered assistance programs that touch a vast spectrum of social need, including: disabled, children in need, youth-at-risk, new immigrants and the elderly.

ICEJ AID, the Embassy’s social assistance arm touches the lives of all people in the Holy Land by contributing to projects across the nation in every sector of society. We fulfill our calling to comfort God’s people by meeting the needs of children, elderly, disabled, new immigrants and needy families. We are proud to be your embassy in Jerusalem, your hands and feet in the land.

Hardship due to the global Coronavirus threat

This tiny virus – smaller than one micrometer – has brought the world economy to its knees with plunging stock markets, international travel at a virtual standstill, and many peoples and nations gripped with fear of a possible pandemic. Many families are in mandatory quarantine, while the elderly and other vulnerable groups have also been advised to stay home.

In response, ICEJ is working with local charities to provide home deliveries of food/household items to assist those in need, including:

    • Families and individuals under the mandatory at-home self-quarantine
    • Holocaust survivors, shut-ins and the elderly
    • Disadvantaged families or those experiencing difficulties as a result of the spread of the virus
    • New Jewish immigrants making Aliyah, who are also required to self-quarantine for two weeks

Although Coronavirus is impacting nations all over the world, this is your opportunity to demonstrate love and concern for Israel during this global emergency by helping us feed and care for those in need.

This appeal is based on the example set by the Gentile believers in Antioch – the first ones to be called “Christians” – as recorded in the Book of Acts, chapter 11. A great famine was impacting the entire known world during the reign of Emperor Claudius. And even though they had urgent needs of their own, the followers of Jesus in Antioch first “determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brethren living in Judea.” (see Acts 11:26-30)

    YOU CAN HELP

Please consider a gift to help us provide and care for those confined to their homes. We are working to make sure these families and elderly people have food and other necessities as they wait out this health scare. Thank you for thinking of Israel, even as your own nation deals with the Coronavirus threat.

In addition to our support of the Jewish people, some 20% of our funds are targeted to assist the needs of the Arab, Druze and Bedouin minorities who make up a corresponding proportion of Israel’s population.

Whether you are an individual or represent a larger organization or ministry, our extensive experience and network of relationships can ensure that your gift to the people of Israel is used effectively. Today’s overwhelming social needs give us an unprecedented opportunity to comfort and bless this nation in the name of Christians around the world as an act of reconciliation and love.

From its very beginnings in 1980, the ICEJ has embarked upon a journey of giving comfort to the Holy Land. This journey has involved deeds of compassion impacting virtually every town, village and city in some way through benevolence ministry.

    ROSH CHODESH ELUL

ELUL- GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD
    Preparing for the forthcoming New Year and Yom Kippur Holidays with traditional shofar blowing at the beginning of the Hebrew month of Elul;
From the collection of the National Library of Israel, courtesy of : The Pritzker Family National Photography Collection

Significance of the Month of ELUL

Elul is the sixth month of the 12 Hebrew months calendar. It is the month of repentance and returning to the LORD. It is the month where the shofar is blown every morning or before sunset except on the Shabbat until the 28th of Elul. Elul comes after the month of AV and Tammuz, the months where two significant events took place. In the month of TAMMUZ, the nation of Israel; after experiencing the great and awesome Presence of God had succumb into the sin of idolatry of worshipping a golden calf and in the month of AV, the ten spies brought back disheartening and bad report of the Land that God had promised them to be a good land flowing with milk and honey and the LORD would deliver the enemies of the Land into their hands. They saw the goodness of the land but did not belief they could defeat the giants of the Land.

the Mercy and Grace of god

On the 17th Tammuz, when Moses came down from Mt. Sinai and found Israel worshipping a golden calf, he broke the tablets of the Ten Commandments. It is believed that Moses ascended Mt. Sinai on Elul 1 to make atonement for Israel and even offered his name to be blotted out of the Book if the LORD did not forgive them. The LORD forgave Israel because Moses persistently stood in the gap for Israel and Moses found grace in the LORD’S sight. But above all, the LORD; in is character is filled with goodness, graciousness and compassion and simply showed Moses that HE will be gracious to whom HE will be gracious and have compassion on whom HE will have compassion.

"The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, "keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon children to the third and fourth generation." (Exodus 34:6-7)

After 40 days and 40 nights, Moses came down with the new tablets and a list of commandments that represented a covenant between the LORD with Moses and Israel. The LORD’S Presence will once again go before and with the people, their iniquity is pardoned and the LORD takes them as HIS inheritance.

    REPENTANCE – tshuvah

ELUL precedes the month of Tishri where the high holidays of Rosh HaShanah (Feast of Trumpets or Yom Teruah), Yom Kippur and Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) are celebrated. The shofar call is said to echo and sound the call to the peoples to be awaken from sleep and slumber and awaken to repentance and return to the LORD.

The month of Elul, is a pivotal time of preparation for the coming month of Tishri and the High holidays with the climax of the Feast of Tabernacles.

Rams’ Horn also known as a Shofar.
I am my Beloved’s and He is mine

The Hebrew letters that comprise the word ELUL are said to be an acronym for Ani Ledodi Vedodi Li – I am my Beloved’s and He is mine which is a verse from the Song of Songs in the Bible. It is an expression of love between the LORD and His people. As this month is also known as the month when the King is found in the field, when we draw near to the LORD, we will find Him there waiting for us and we will be found of Him. His love and kindness leads us to repentance..Amen.
