Pink Ballerina

Toni loves getting new outfits and this time she wanted a ballet tutu. I’m not sure where this notion came from but I found quite a lovely one made for Emily Rose dolls. They are 14-inch dolls and compatible with Wellie Wisher dolls and the P-90 Toni.

It was easy to indulge her, as I knew she would look ultra-cute in this and it came with all sorts of accessories (slippers and leg warmers and a wrist flower). In addition, it could even serve as her Halloween costume since the holiday was coming up fast. I ordered it from Amazon where I’m an affiliate.

Next, she wanted to take ballet classes. I figured it would be quite difficult to find one for someone of her size, so I found some instruction videos on YouTube for her to try out. We even have a large mirror for the practice sessions (a sliding closet door). I haven’t figured out what she can use for a practice barre yet.

Here’s where I ordered the ballet outfit for her. The pink leotard has a Velcro back so it was easy to slip on. The other one, a sequined leotard, was not a good fit. I should have styled her hair before the photo session but she was too impatient to wait for that.

Source for Dresses

Judy Anderson shared this tip for finding dresses for Toni dolls. Many Toni fans are willing to try other outfits for Toni and not just dress them in original Toni-tagged clothing.

“I have dressed a couple of the girls for Christmas. This Toni p91 and a Toni p90 are wearing beautiful dresses taken from a couple of modern porcelain dolls I found at Goodwill for $2.99 each.

Each also had a nice stand and wig to recycle. I hate throwing out the dolls as some are very pretty but have no value. Also got 2 pairs of shoes. Both dresses are well-made with beautiful details and have netting slips and pantaloons.”

I checked on eBay to see what prices were posted there for modern porcelain dolls. They seem to be $10, $20, and up to $100. So Judy found a terrific bargain at the Goodwill Store. The dresses look terrific on her Toni dolls.

So, be on the lookout for great deals like this. You can donate the porcelain doll back to Goodwill minus the clothing and accessories if you don’t want to just toss it.

A Toni Easter Celebration

Chantae Muth posted this to the Toni Doll Fan Page group on Facebook: ” 🎵In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, you’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade………🎶 Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail, hippity-hoppity, Easter’s on its way! 🐰

Happy Easter Everyone!”

She likes to create these scenes to “bring the dolls to life. We love putting in as many details as possible.” Chantae and her mom work together to assemble the scenes.

She added, “Once we figured out which direction to go in with which props to use it was fun setting up the little vignettes.” Her advice to others is “There is no right and there is no wrong as long you are having fun putting your display together it will be wonderful.”
