Leonard Frances McQuirk?
Can you help place these with a manufacturer? They are mostly marked 'L.F.Mc...1971, 1972' or '1973' with some of the SF figures (I've put straight on my smallscaleworld blog) having the later 1974 date. There is nothing about the man on Lost Mini's wiki or TMP, so I'm guessing they were sold under another name or commissioned by one of the larger companies? The Roman archer in green tunic is marked with his full name 'Leonard Frances McQuirk' as is the Samurais horse.
Any Ideas?

Women?
Guy's can anybody give my women an identity, I think they are all the same make and quite modern? but they could be more than one make, top middle has a smaller base and is much shinier? They cover pretty much Renaissance/ACW to Regency via Napoleon and the ACW, with only the two bottom left & middle being limited to period by their costume...the other three are poorer and wear simple clothes and two pretty timeless bonnets.
Any ideas?

Hinton Hunt or Not?

I thought I'd post these pictures here further to the recent post on my own blog. I know that the horse is not FNH10 but is the rider Marshal Ney FN354 or an imposter? Is it possibly a HH casting with the head modified or am I clutching at straws?

Any idea what make he may be? Is it possible that the horse could be a modified version of BNH10 as below?

Unknown hoplite and phalangite
Couple of figures here that I would appreciate i.d.ing.
The hoplite I got off Harry Pearson - basically, he didn't know what they were, so he sent them to me and I don't know either. They look as though they should be Minfigs S range, but not ones I've seen.
The phalangite I bought off the internet - at first glance I thought they were pirate garrison conversions, but they looked good so I thought 'well, if they are Garrison conversions, they are good ones - perhaps I could legitimise them.' They aren't Garrison, and I haven't a clue as to who made them. Help appreciated.

18th Century figures
I have been going through 18th Century figures (Marlburian, Jacobite Rebellion, Seven Years' war, and American War of Independence), prior to dealing with these on the S Ranger blog.
All in this first picture are definitely S Range - but can anyone identify them? The first five figures (left to right) are all Seven Years War, I believe, and the foutth and fifth figures are the same. The final figure may be an AWI French infantryman?

These are possibly Marlburians?

These are, I fear, home casts. The last two figures are a British Drummer and a Highland infantryman. Any ideas on original manufacturer?

Unknown Siege Guns
Hi Guys, can you help me put a name to these? I hope they're easy to identify, just unknown to me as a metal newbie!
The adjustable gun behind may be a second firm, as they're not marked, however they have been sanded, also they're the only ones with bases. The little one to the left of the back row has a (home made?) wooden/balsa carriage/base.
The front row are all marked 'MFA' which I assume is Medieval Field Artillery, with - from the left - a number; 2, 4, 7 and 5 (A gardener-gun...of sorts!!!). All are also multi-part ( well, at least two part!) kit construction.
Also any luck on the Panits Lazlo info. John?
Closer inspection of the adjustable bombard thing suggests a faint '74' on one of them, if that helps?

HH RN14 - Russian Infantry Variants ?

Left and middle figures were in a bag of 20 - mail ordered direct from the HH shop - and the right figure was from the samples I picked up from the store - they are ALL marked RN/14. It doesn't show too well in the photo but the left and middle figures are identical except for plume. Most of the mail order ones had plume cut of (you can see the cut) and had pom-pom only - one was apparently missed!
Now it could possibly be a really bad mold breaking and filling in etc and the musket subsequently raising up at the break etc - but then again maybe not.
Anybody else seen this variation? Just in case anybody thinks David Clayton - I have never bought any HH off of him and he wasn't around when I bought these.
