I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted anything, but I was busy acing my Stats final exam (99%!!!). I am back, the semester is over and I have a new video for you!!!
This art journal page took me a little over a month from start to finish to make. I started with some pumice gel and an UmWow Studio stencil. After many, many, many layers of acrylic paint, Inka Gold, Wink of Stella, and so much more, this page finally came together. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

GASP! I forgot to upload a video this week! Okay, that’s a lie. I don’t have any videos ready. I think this is the one week you may not get anything from me. I’m finishing up my classes (my last final is next Wednesday 12/10!), so I will probably be MIA for a while. BUT when I come back, I’m coming back strong! I’ve got the new 7 Dots Studio paper line designed by DeeDee Catron and it’s STUNNING!If you haven’t checked out either of these fantastic people/papers you must do it! I promise you will be seeing it soon from me!

This is a simple ICAD that allowed me to clean up some of the scraps I had lying on my table and around my studio. This just goes to show you don’t have to spend hours on something to make it beautiful!
I’m only a day late on this one! I had it ready to upload and completely forgot to change the date from Monday to Sunday, so it’s here one day late!

Okay, I’m the first to admit when I don’t love an art journal page I’ve created. This is one of them. I don’t love the colors, I don’t love the composition, it’s just blah. That being said, sometimes I really enjoy making pages when I don’t concern myself with the beauty of the final product and I had fun making this one. It’s always fun testing products and how they work together. Using water-soluble media on top acrylic really challenges you to ensure that you don’t mess anything up because a little water and the whole thing gets washed away. If you want to seal a page like this, use a spray sealer so that it seals everything under the fine mist of sealant!

Right now, this is the last video I have edited. Hopefully I’ll have time this week to get some more edited and ready for your viewing pleasure! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I haven’t missed a Sunday yet this semester (okay, I have missed a Sunday or two on my blog, but not on YouTube)!
This page is the back side from my Young at Heart art journal page and because of the machine stitching, the paper had been weakened, so in order to make it sturdier, I used Mod Podge matte to glue some deli paper down, then added some gesso, watercolor (including Distress Ink) and acrylic paint to make the background. I think I love the background more than I love that butterfly image. Though, I must say, that butterfly image was pretty dang cool! Hope you love the page!
