In Greek mythology, Gaia, also spelled Gaea, is the personification of the Earth and one of the Greek primordial deities. Gaia is the ancestral mother of all life: the primal Mother Earth goddess. She is the immediate parent of Uranus, from whose sexual union she bore the Titans and the Giants, and of Pontus, from whose union she bore the primordial sea gods. Her equivalent in the Roman pantheon was Terra.
What did they know, and who knew?

Family and Friends I Highly Value
Many things have happened over the last couple of weeks,
my past has been catching up with me.
Old friends that I remembered fondly,
have shown concern and hospitality.
This is where I gets my groove.
when I got the opportunity I packed up and moved.
I would come back from time to time.
If not in person then in my mind.
An old group is reforming intent on performing,
and I’ve been asked to play a part.
The books are dusty and my technique is rusty,
but I’m getting ready for the rehearsals to start.
I was feeling a little beatdown.
Not gaining or even standing still, just losing more ground.
I hadn’t gave up, but I was starting to give in.
And that’s precisely when the door opened.
A new attraction(infatuation) at the local library,
while upgrading some of my musical technology.
A sudden burst of inspired creativity,
demonstrated by this text to speech.
I don’t count victories before they are won.
I can’t say yet, that the deal is done.
What I’ve learnt ’bout this life I’m livin’.
It ain’t what you gets, it’s what you be givin’.
My family and old friends I highly value,
and I gots me a couple of new friends too.
I say this with all humility, what all of this is teaching me:
“Can you be humble when you don’t have to be?”
