Snowed in!!!!!

WHAT A WILD RIDE! The storm we had this last week was so crazy...we could not leave our house(by vehicle) for three days. Does AZ get snow some of you might ask? YES, Heaps and Heaps of it. Can i just tell you this storm might have been the answer to one little girls prayer to have her daddy get to stay home with HER and not have to go to work.

O.K. just for the record I love snow but... :) when is it to much? Hum well lets just say this prego lady is not digging out her car.
We did all the snow activities that we could to pass the time... Building Snowmen, sledding, snow caves(hard to dig out with a prego belly), snow angels, reading snow stories form the library, (luckily we stocked up before the storm) snow eating, putting snow in our hot chocolate, snow ball fights...and finally watching the snow plow come to our rescue. Now that we can drive what are we doing tomorrow? well exactly what anyone should do after three days of playing in the snow...going to Snowbowl to play in their snow! :) Hope everyone is staying warm and dry!

BAJA and Back!

First of all Happy Holidays! We hope everyone had a great 2009!
We decided to say a big Adios to 2009 with a family road trip down the Baja Peninsula. We loved it, the kids loved it, the car didn't love it but we made great memories along the way!
Wow we started out driving and 3,000 miles later we made it home again and we were still craving tacos! :)

We were traveling a little less than three weeks and filled most of the time camping on beaches, fishing, collecting sea shells, driving to new places, eating amazing food, listening to Regans Spanish skills, going on horribly maintained roads, keeping our eyes peeled for a Dulcería! (candy stores) and don't worry even on a beach in Baja Santa still found us :)

My top 10 things I loved about Baja:
1- Sandy beaches all to ourselves.
2-Huge sparklers to celebrate with.
3- Tacos, Tacos, and Tacos with a bottle of Coke.
4-Ferry boat being late so we could get on it. (saved us 9hrs of driving)
5- All the "Hunters" (what Ryker called the Mexican soldiers dressed in camo with guns)
6-Cheap auto repair (got new shocks after a few crazy stretches of road)
7-Seeing whales swim by in the evening and then again in the morning when we woke up.
8-The fresh fish and shrimp plus now we know Ivy loves to eat octopus.
9-A hot spring campground with our own private pools.
10 -Being together as a family.

CHRISTMAS DAY 2009

Skylar loves the Beach!

Look its frosty the SANDMAN :)

Here is a picture of our rig...we bought this car about a yr. ago and Regan fixed it up and transformed it into our Baha Cruiser. We knew this car was destine for a road trip but it BARLEY fits three car seats in the back seat so we knew we had to go now...before any more kidos arrive, which is happening in MAY! :)

We Love and miss all our friends and family, we hope your year of 2010 is full of happy adventures and lots of happy joyful moments.
If anyone needs a beater car for a road trip call me...you can borrow mine.

Fall 2009

Two years ago...NOW....

We had a great time at the Fall Festival. I love this time of year. For Halloween this year Ryker wants to be a pumpkin and Ivy said "I want to be a mermaid riding a unicorn holding a flower"...wow! Well luckily (saving me lots of sewing time) we found a unicorn costume and she said "Mom, this costume is so beautiful I guess I could just be a unicorn." :)

We Miss Our Dad! So because Regan is out of town until Sunday...Ryker has decided to try to learn how to ride his bike, without training wheels, to surprise him when he gets home. This takes much more time then mom anticipated and we'll see if it can be done.
On the first night he was gone Ivy said so sincerely "Oh I wish dad was here instead of you."So what should a mom do in that situation? Well lets just say she ended up getting a bunch of cookies and ice cream that is not usually a part of our bedtime routine. :)
Dad come home soon...we'll keep posting pictures to try to make you homesick.
Pictures are from a trip down to Oak Creek and a day at Grammys house.

I did it!

IMOGENE PASS RACE 2009 Well...it WAS beautiful, but very tough!
By mile three I was thinking what in the world did I sign up for and by mile 8 I was hating how you could see the top and still had two STEEP miles to go before the downhill. WOW hats off the the seventy year old man that flew right by me!(and all the 60, 50, 40 yr olds too) :)
I'm glad I did it...Thanks to the ladies that let me jump into their group last minute.
This was a great, HARD, trip. I guess I'll just have to wait and see where my ADD takes me next. :)
Here is a link to race info for anyone who is interested in dragging yourself 17 miles up and down a mountain pass. Oh and p.s.your supposed to be running. http://www.imogenerun.com//

Skylar is our best camper.
