mggu exam……!!!

pning nyer paleku ni……asal na study jer msti jd stado….( aka TIDO!! )  huhhuuuu…..erm, ya Allah kuatkan lah diriku ni….sblum mggu exam aritu terlampau byk assgment nak kene anta..bekejar sane, bekejar ke sini….fuhhh, ni bru aku rase life sbagai mahasiswi…..! penatnyer tsak terkate…ade lak assgment tur trpkse buat 2 org shj dri 7 org dlm grup???? eiy kalau ikut hati rse nak gi lempang jer, tp ak tahu Allah tgh mengujiku,,. bsr ye atikah.. ( tp dlm ati nak mnangis jer sbnrnyer..huu )

bile pk2 balik, skjp nyer mase berlalu…rse mcm bru smlm aku msuk ukm, tp skang dah nak tinggalkan sem 1 dan bakal menempuh sem 2………ya Allah moge aku berjaye mgharungi sgale dugaanMu tika aku bergelar seorang mahasiswi UKM ni…(amin  =] )

hari ni Dr. Rosseni yg masuk kelas…beliau mengajar  mengenai SPSS…projek ni mcm membuat soal slidik, pastu cara-cara nak analisis data n buat graf dan penilaian graf tur…sronok sgt sbb tak pernah buat dan cara die mudah jer..sy dpt aplikasikan care tur dekat projek2 subjek lin….minggu ini juga adalah kelas y terakhir..sy nak berterime kasih dekat dr rosseni dan cik aida yang dah banyak membantu sy dan rakan2…trime kasih guruku!jasamu akan kami kenang slame-lamenyer….

pada minggu ini kami diajar oleh Puan Aida berkaitan microsoft access…kami diajar bagaimana menggunakan access..ape yang dpt saya katakan,melalui access kitorang dapat belajar cara membuat jadual…maklumat Puan Aida suruh masuk sendiri,Puan Aida hanya mengajar ape maklumat yang harus dimasukkan dan bagaimna caranye..alhamdullilah,tugasan sempat siap pada hari itu juge…

pada minggu kelapan,Dr. Rosseni meminta kami semua mengemaskini blog kami.Dr. telah mengajar kami lebih lanjut cara-cara meng’update’ blog kami.Ini kerana melalui blog kami juge diberi markah.So,kami diminte supaye tidak memandang ringan mengenai blog kami dan sentiasa perlu update dari semase ke semase.

 

Minggu 7 adalah untuk belajar mengenai excel..excel is quite difficult because it have many formula.Kalau tersalah satu memang susah lar yang bahagian yang lain.Tapi dengan bantuan cik aidah saye dapat memahaminya tambahan pula saya pernah belajar ketika di peringkat matrikulasi.

Untuk minggu ni,sya dan rakan2 ditugaskan membuat power point.Tajuk adalah bebas mengikut kami sendiri.Dr Rosseni juga menerangkan apa yang perlu ade dalam power point serta cara membuatnye.Saya pilih tajuk ‘lactose operon,tajuk ni berkaitan dengan biologi.Saya belajar mengenainya di matrik dan memandangkan saye meminati tajuk ni dan saya masih mengingati isi2nya,so sy buat tajuk ni sempena tugasan power point saya.

mggu ni tak de kelas,ade hari konvekesyen..kitorang ditugaskan membuat brochure mengenai ape yang dah belajar pada mggu sebelum ni…dan tugasan diminta hantar pada mggu depan…bukan senang nak membuatnya tapi diatas kerjasama antara sesama kumpulan kami berjaya menyiapkannya.Ni contoh brochure y kitotang buat..

PLAGIARISM

Objectives :

1)      To know what the meaning of the plagiarism.

2)      To recognize the plagiarism in the paraphase.

3)      To mention the strategies to avoid plagiarism.

Definition :

  • Crimes committed in tertiary education institutions and it destroys the academic integrity among academicians
  • Using others’ ideas and words without clearly acknowledging the source of that information.
  • Conventionally seen as a serious breach of scholarly ethics, being a theft of credit for ideas in a competitive intellectual marketplace.

How to recognize the plagiarism in paraphase :

Here’s the original text, from page 1 of Lizzie Borden: A Case Book of Family and Crime in the 1890s by Joyce Williams et al.:

~The rise of industry, the growth of cities, and the expansion of the population were the three great developments of late nineteenth century American history. As new, larger, steam-powered factories became a feature of the American landscape in the East, they transformed farm hands into industrial laborers, and provided jobs for a rising tide of immigrants. With industry came urbanization the growth of large cities (like Fall River, Massachusetts, where the Bordens lived) which became the centers of production as well as of commerce and trade.~

Here’s a paraphrase that is plagiarism :

~The increase of industry, the growth of cities, and the explosion of the population were three large factors of nineteenth century America. As steam-driven companies became more visible in the eastern part of the country, they changed farm hands into factory workers and provided jobs for the large wave of immigrants. With industry came the growth of large cities like Fall River where the Bordens lived which turned into centers of commerce and trade as well as production.~

The preceding passage is considered plagiarism for two reasons :

  • the writer has only changed around a few words and phrases, or changed the order of the original’s sentences.
  • the writer has failed to cite a source for any of the ideas or facts.

Here’s the paraphase that is NOT plagiarism :

~Fall River, where the Borden family lived, was typical of northeastern industrial cities of the nineteenth century. Steam-powered production had shifted labor from agriculture to manufacturing, and as immigrants arrived in the US, they found work in these new factories. As a result, populations grew, and large urban areas arose. Fall River was one of these manufacturing and commercial centers (Williams 1).~

This is acceptable paraphrasing because the writer:

  • accurately relays the information in the original
    uses her own words.
  • lets her reader know the source of her information.

Strategies for Avoiding Plagiarism

  • Put in quotations everything that comes directly from the text especially when taking notes.
  • Paraphase, but be sure you are not just rearranging or replacing a few words.
  • Check your paraphase against the original text to be sure you have not accidentally used the same phrases or words, and that the information is accurate.
  • Need to know the author, the title, and the date it was published.
  • Give credit whenever you use

a)      another person’s idea, opinion, or theory;

b)      any facts, statistics, graphs, drawings—any pieces of information—that are not common knowledge;

c)      always make it clear where the information comes from th

d)     at’s a list of the sources you used for a project or report.

REFLECTION :

This task is quite difficult where I have to find the information related to the title that give it to me that is plagiarism.Before this I have never know or hear about this title of plagiarism.Since I have done with this article,now  I already have knowdege about it .What can I say about plagiarism it is about copy and paste another person work and it is always happen in daily life especially in student life.So,what can I conclude I have done doing this task even it is a little bit late and there is some trouble.
