Liz and Jed were married on Saturday at Rust Manor House in Leesburg VA. It was my first time to this venue and it was a stunner! This bride and groom are so lovely and have such contagious happy personalities…….you can’t be around them and not laugh out loud over and over.Β
the bridal dressing room was a dream come true for me π
and Liz looked absolutely GORGEOUS!
lots of laughter during the ceremony π they are so cute!

thank you for having me in your wonderful home!!
i’m adding one more: this is madison showing me how many weeks old she is!
I’m illegally hijacking my beautiful and talented wife’s blog to wish her a very happy birthday.Β I can’t reveal how I did this, that would get me on a Government watch list and we..hey..hey who are you?Β I didn’t do anything..wait..I have to …
My favorite stroll on the beach of all time :).
Hey, watch the hands sister!
Happiest day of my life!
Have a sweet birthday Mom-luv Pancakes
Happy Birthday to the woman who makes every day happy for me.
I love you-Joey
Sam and Drew braved the nasty rainy dreary 45 degree Spring weather for a quick e-session in the city. Drew proposed at the Jefferson Memorial which was a perfect location for the shoot since the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

Emily and Nate were married on 4.5.08 at the Ronald Reagan Building in DC. We had wonderful weather and thanks to Sara we had plenty of time! Emily and Nate chose to see each other before the ceremony *yay*!!. As I’ve said before this is THE best way to do it. It really makes the day go seamlessly, and keeps the bride and groom relaxed. We used the archways at the RRB for their First Look, and the photos turned out beautifully if I do say so myself π

stay tuned for the ceremony and reception shots!
What a fun wedding! Gretchen and Mark were married on Saturday at the beautiful Holy Rosary Church in NW, with their reception at the City Club of Washington at Franklin Square. Everything was running smoothly until the transportation decided to forget to pick up half the guests so the ceremony started about 40 minutes late. From there we were on a mission to get some fun shots around the National Mall while Mark had a surprise for Gretch waiting in the wings. π
Enjoy the photos!!Β

I am currently working on a portable “photo booth” set-up that I will be offering to my wedding couples as an a la carte option. I was having issues with my lighting on my first try with my friends, but we had a blast anyway πΒ
Once all the logistics are figured out I will let you all know!

Today I am featured on the oh-so fabulous Ritzy Bee Blog.Β The ritzy bee blog (love the name!) is run by DC area event planner Maria Cooke. If you are planning your wedding, or just love all things wedding like me, check it out! It’s chock full of goodies and inspiration.
Thanks Maria!!
I love the skit on Mad TV with Stewart – the grown man-boy, who always shouts – LOOK WHAT I CAN DO! Well I am so proud of myself today I feel the need to shout – hey blog stalkers – look what i can do!
I installed a dimmer switch in my dining room – ALL BY MYSELF π
So no electrical fires yet – although the stairwell lights will not turn on. Not sure what that’s about! (oooops)

I know I post photos of Pancakes a lot, but come on, she is so cute! Today she somehow randomly got herself covered in smiley face stickers. I don’t even know where they came from. Unless they slipped out of the magazine I was reading I really think they just materialized so I would have another cute thing to photograph π
She managed to get them stuck on her – everywhere. Getting them all off her however was no fun task.

To all of you out there who love clothes, fashion, and style, this site is for you. The Sartorialist. The man who writes it was in the fashion industry for 15 years before focusing more on photography. He now roams the streets and fashion shows in NYC, Milan, Paris, etc. He photographs people as they are, where he stopped them (sounds like the best job ever!). Each photograph says something different. And each photograph gives me some fabulous fashion sense to admire. Here is a recent photo from his blog.

It kind of reminds me of the LOOK BOOK in the New York Magazine I devour every week. Enjoy!
