Spring has Sprung

Well, another year has begun and I have sworn to myself to finally begin writing in this blog. I’ve had the site for over 3 years now and have not published one single blog. This surprises me, as I enjoy writing, so here goes.

I took a little stroll this morning around the gardens and woods. The weather was a bit cool after the few days of unseasonably warm weather (in the 80’s for 3 days). I did see a few spring flowers that have shot up in the past week and thus have included their pictures here.

Puschkinia scilloides, Striped Squill

Sanguinaria, Blood root

Dicentra cucullaria, Dutchman’s Breeches

Iridacaea, Crocus–a non-native plant from my garden
