A learning environment, as discussed in my work, is a collection of resources and activities for learning, deliberately curated with a specific learning need in mind.
Over the last several years, I have been working on a model for learning environment design. At the moment, I am actively working on a book that pulls together my approach to the subject. You can find lots of information on these pages, including the draft version of the book which is currently available. for free.
Other ways to learn more:
I teach a course called Learning Ecosystems: Designing environments for learning through the eLearning Guild Academy.
There are many posts in this blog which document my emerging thoughts on the subject, but I highly recommend going the the Learning Environments by Design pages for the most up to date versions.
Upcoming conference presentations will be found here.
