HAPPY FESTIVUS
I air my grievances constantly. My feat od strength will be getting the drop trap into my car. The miracle will hopefully be NOT hitting any rain while driving.
Storm warnings are out of control. Some predictions are for 5″ of rain (in four days, but mostly the 24th/25th) in my area. It makes sense for foothills, but not down here. I hope the extremist predictions are very very wrong.
There’s a free library craft very near me at 4pm today. No info on the specific craft, but I hope to go.
I also hope to give the indoor cats some outdoor time before steady rain hits.
Finally, I hope my house doesn’t leak.

Last night, a neighbor who I only know by txt sent me a $50 Amazon e-card “for caring for the cats.”
Today, I got a box of snackies and mug from my WGU friend:
My $9.99 TooGood “prepared foods” bag from Whole Foods contained a rotisserie chicken, 3 heat & eat Indian meals, a slab of meatloaf, and a burrito. Aannndddd… there were free samples of a vodka that comes in a cardboard bottle… the vodka was generic; the cardboard bottle is super cool & lightweight.
Back at home, there was an xmas card on my door with a $50 Chewy gift card inside!
I didn’t finish today’s free library craft (not enough sewing machines), but I’ll go back to finish it as a gift for my WGU friend’s new teeny puppy (chihuahua/poodle mix):

Momma Tux loudly tore up her trap linings last night and pulled a ton of covering into the crate. She’s still unhappy but no longer thrashing everything.

Momma Tux tore up her trap linings last night and pulled a ton of covering into the crate. She’s still unhappy but no longer thrashing everything. Kitten Holly cried a bit through the night but has been great.
I’m driving them home (near LAX) tonight, then returning at 6am for Holly’s tamed sister, MsBlue.
My anxiety was high, but pain is low thanks to a new CBD/THC product (Dr Norm’s Pain Pills), so I cancelled today’s PT to allow myself to chill a bit.

WP Prompt of the Day
What skills or lessons have you learned recently?
Transferring stray cats from drop trap tobox trap. Changing newspaper/pads in box traps with strays inside.
I. Am. SO. Sore.
Momma cat, Tux, is very heavy and my back doesn’t appreciate it. My nee knee was also painful last night – just enough to keep me awake till 5am.
I slept from 5-6:30am, got the cats to the vet, got home around 8:30, and slept again from about 10a-12:30p.
I’ve been waiting for the pickup call for almost 1.5 hours. If they don’t call in the next 15min, I’m supposed to call them.
I had an expiring cannabis coupon and made a $30 order for pickup between 3 & 4. NBD if I’m late, but the website didn’t apply the discount. They’ll prob take care of it there, but if they don’t, I’ll bail on the purchase.
I finally got TwentyFive back outdoors. Thete were too many new cats in the house and it was really upsetting my cats. I should look into getting het adopted – she’s tame, super loving (she tender touches with her paw to my arm for petting, and I’m teaching her to respond to ‘kissies!’), and likes being indoor only.
Darth got stuck on the sideyard fence again. While trying to get him down, I spotted my newest, missing, reading glasses on the ground! They’ve been MIA longer than he’s been getting stuck, so I have no idea how they got there. Still, mystery solved!!
5 min till I can call. No pics of the cats yet. The kitten is adorable!!
I can’t wait to go back to sleep. Getting some real food might help my energy – the only thing I’ve eaten since Sun is some Goldfish crackers and a banana.
