SAL-Update Halloween Wreath #19

Well the day has finally come. Time for a Happy Dance! I finished the Halloween Wreath. I checked when I first started this project. It was 2 years ago. Wow! I did take some time off to work on other projects. But I’m very excited I finished it.

Here is where I was last up date….

And now the finished project…..

It is so cute. All I need to do is wash it and then I think I’ll turn it into a pillow.

Now I get the fun job of deciding on my next project, thinking I’ll do something Christmas.

This is going to be the last SAL for the year. The next one is scheduled for December 28th, but we decided to skip that one since it is such a busy time of year.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Please check out what the others in the group have been working on, and I’ll see you next year for another update.

I like this cauldron, it’s going to be even cuter with the stars finished.

SAL-Halloween Wreath # 16

Well this summer has been super busy and has just flown by so far. It mostly been good fun things, so I can’t complain.

so I guess I’m not surprised that I totally forget the last update.

Even though it’s been busy I was able to get some stitching in.

Here is where I was the last time I updated…….

And what I have finished now ……

I’m really starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Makes me want to work more on this project so I can have a happy dance.

SAL- Halloween Wreath #15

Wow where did the last 3 weeks go. This time of year always seems busier, I love the warmer weather and the daylight. Just makes me want to spend time outdoors.

I have been enjoying working on my knitting. It’s hard to tell, but I have made good progress.

Here is where I was last update.

And now…..

I was able to get about 6 inches done on the body and have 3-4 inches more to go.

I have also have been working on my Halloween Wreath cross-stitching again. It’s hard to believe I haven’t really worked on this project since mid October of last year. Guess it was time.

Here is were I was last time I worked on it….

I have made some progress….

And here is how far I have come on the whole piece….

I really don’t have a lot left to go, even though it feels like a lot.

So I quess that is all I have to update this time.

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been working on.

52 Weeks of Christmas Cards- Week 23

This week’s card is a reindeer card. I like the silhouette look of the reindeer with the red bow. I put some sparkles on the bow, but it is hard to capture with the camera.

Here is the card…..

So I have 23 cards done, 29 more to go.

SAL-Luggage Tag #2

As I’ve mentioned, I have been terribly busy and miss the last update all together.

The good news is I have finished my luggage tags. On the last update I had started Larry the Pineapple.

Here he is finished and in the luggage tag.

The second one I made was called Calvin the Cappuccino. I was able to finished him as well

He is so cute.

They will definitely make it easier to find my suitcase on my next trip.

The next project I’ve started is a knitted tank top. The name of the pattern is Maxine’s Tank Top by Ainur Berkimbayeva. This is what it looks like.

Maxine’s Tank Top

I really like this pattern. It is top down and has been very easy to follow.

This is where I am so far. It is knitted in the round and I took it off the needles and put it on some scrap yarn to be able to try it on and see how the fit is so far. I have about 10” left in the body.

Hopefully I’ll have a finished top by the next update, I can’t wait to wear it

Please check out what the other members of the SAL have been working on and I’ll see you in 3 weeks for the next update.

52 Weeks of Christmas Cards-Week 22

Well this card should get me caught up and back to my regular schedule. I’m still working on the card kit.

I’m enjoying this kit. The cards are all a little different which keeps it interesting.

This week’s card is the Joy card.

It’s hard to tell, but I added some bling to the wreath, to add sparkle.

I have completed 22 cards so far, only 30 to go

52 Weeks of Christmas Cards-Weeks 20 & 21

Life has been busy, and I’m behind in posting my cards.

I have posted all the cards I made with my friend, and I’m now doing another card kit. This one is another PhotoPlay kit called It’s a Wonderful Christmas

This is what the kit looks like

The first card I made was the ornament card that says Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

The second card I made was the one with the fireplace

So that should catch me up with the 2 weeks I don’t post. I should have this week’s card done in a couple of days.

21 cards done. Only 31 to go.

52 Weeks of Christmas Cards-Week 19

This week’s card is a very cute one. I think Santa and Rudolph are taking a break after delivering all the packages.

Santa & Rudolph were a die set. They were pretty easy to put together. The words let it snow on the bottom was a stencil that I use a paste on to make it look like snow.

So I have 19 cards done so far, only 33 to go. So I’m over a third of the way done.
