It's been a while...

I know- it's been a while since I last posted.  We've been really busy.  So in my defense, I thought I'd post what we've been up to:

First off, Little Liam is getting bigger every day.  He's learned to climb stairs

And is crawling and standing all over the place.

Cami is still the funniest little thing.  We were at a rodeo and she started doing the "salute" the rodeo queens do.

And a smart- alek too. (she gets it from her dad)  The other day she opened the door for me while I had my hands full of stuff and with a wave of her arm says "after YOU..."  then just as I went to step forward thinking what a polite child I've been raising; she goes " HA HA!  After ME!" and steps in front of me.  Nice....

All my time outside the kids has been wrapped up in the new drill team the California Cowgirls. They have quite a busy schedule.  Here we are at the Auburn Rodeo:

I'm on the far right and my mom's in the middle on the red horse.  We are performing in June at the Horse Expo and later in Reno for rodeo nationals- and I'm singing the national anthem at most of our events.  Funny thing is I'm much more nervous to ride the drill than I am to sing.  The girls on the team think I'm looney.  I say I can't fall on my butt just singing...

Will is still snowboarding, and just starting rafting season.    (He doesn't ever take pictures though.)  He just scored a canoe for the family that he is getting back in shape.  Since we're so close to a nice, calm river it should be a great addition.  He also somehow found a whitewater kayak and has BIG plans for that....  With work and hobbies and the honey-do list- he stays pretty busy.

So that's us for now.  I'll try to get some other stuff up sooner than later.

Cami Reading

She's not so much reading as she is memorizing the pictures with the words- but I think it's cute anyway.

Lil' stinker wouldn't go all the way through though.....

New Additions....

So we're all settled in our new house and we LOVE it.  Since we finally have the room- Bekki was able to get the big dog she's always wanted.  She was looking in all the shelters for a rescue dog, but never really found the right fit for our family.  Then, Chompy suddenly needed a home and we jumped on it.  We've known him since he was  6 months old and various friends had owned him and knew him to be a great dog.  He's been a welcome addition to the family.  Bekki feels much safer with him around and he's great with the kids.  He's needing some adjusting to being an inside dog- but it's coming along REALLY well.  With the exception of a charging Emu incident-(no I will not post pictures of the poor bird Mike) Chompy has been on his best behavior.  Liam gets regular dog-spit baths and Cami has learned to keep anything she's holding above her head- so we're all adjusting...

So, Dad has this one-armed Veteran guy in his ward that is in the bird selling business.   I guess he's getting up there in age and now wants to move in to a home- but he has around 50 Pekin ducks and various other birds that are at his house that he has to get rid of.  So, since we have a perfect duck pond in the back yard- we agreed to take some home.  We got one boy and three girls and we really enjoy having them.  When we let them out of their boxes into the pond enclosure- it was so heartwarming I wish I'd brought a video camera.  They'd never seen water before and at first were apprehensive- but then all started quacking at each other and made a beeline (umm duck-line??) to the pond and flopped right in.  Then they spent literally the next hour washing themselves.  You could just see the joy.
That's Cornelius (front) and Thumbellina..... (Cami named those two)

And this is Scarlett (Koby's pick)

And this is Sarah Jessica Parker (Will named her that because of her big beak and that she rarely eats)
