pcall() and coroutine limitations?

Hello,

Is there any documentation somewhere explaining the limitation of 
coroutines as far as pcall() & Co goes?

I'm aware of Mike Pall "fully resumable VM", but some rational about 
the current coroutine limitation would be greatly appreciated :)
