Well, it looks like I'm a bit late to the show but I've been working
on yet another driver.

The other libraries mentioned here may be more worth looking into,
since a) I'm fairly inexperienced as a C programmer and b) it's not
complete yet.
However, it's reasonably well documented and may be of interest.
