The earliest versions were an update of that code, so it is an ancestor. This release and the last one or two rewrite Danforth's high level API in Lua, relegating the C code to a much thinner libYAML wrapper. This means Lua has access to all the libYAML fields -- allowing, for instance, http://github.com/gvvaughan/specl to report line numbers in libYAML parse failures.
