Buffalo hamburger

Author Dan O’Brien said that buffalo meat is sweet and tender and has a unique taste. He also said that it has to be prepared as carefully as fresh fish.[2] The magazine Women’s Health said that the taste of beef burgers and buffalo burgers is almost indistinguishable, but that buffalo burgers are a bit sweeter and more tender. It normally costs more than beef.[3]

Banquet Burger

just found out that the Banquet Burger was invented right here in my home town of Toronto. Thank you Francis Deck, you have completely changed my life, and many lives around me. Originally, the “Forest Hill Burger” was made with an all beef patty and topped with bacon cheese and your veg of choice. Canadian back bacon could also be substituted to make it even more Canuck. But I’m going to take it one step further. I’m not just going to put bacon ON my burger, I’m going to put bacon IN my burger. I’m going to use some sharp aged provolone instead of cheddar (although you can use whatever you wish) and I’m going to grill some thick slices of sweet Vidalia onion to make it even sweeter. Can I get a hallelujah?

Australasian Hamburger

Prepared with ground beef, they almost always include tomato, lettuce, grilled onion, beetroot (canned slices), and meat as minimum, and can optionally include cheese, pineapple, a fried egg (usually with a hard yolk) and bacon. If all these optional ingredients are included it is known as a “Hamburger with the lot”.[3][4] Pictured is a burger with slices of canned beetroot within it.

Cheese Burger

A cheeseburger is a hambuger topped with cheese. Traditionally, the slice of cheese is placed on top of the meat patty, but the burger can include many variations in structure, ingredients, and composition. The term itself is a portmanteu of the words “cheese” and “hamburger.” The cheese is usually added to the cooking hamburger patty shortly before the patty is completely cooked which allows the cheese to melt. Cheeseburgers are often served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, and occasionally bacon.

In fast food restaurants, the cheese used is typically processed patty, but there are variations, such as cheddar, Swiss Cheese,Cheese Blue Cheese and Pepper jack When cheese is added to a burger the nutritional value of the burger can be changed substantially. For example, a slice of Cheddar cheese can add 113 calories and 4.5 grams of saturated fat to a burger. Other types and amounts of cheese would have varying effects, depending on their nutritional content.
