The following nightmare

I used to have a recurring nightmare!

A growling mob cornering me;

Waking up would be my only escape!

The nightmare used to follow me,

Even when I was awake!

I made friends to escape

Then I sold their company,

To  a company that sold gadgets!

I earned lots of “friends” again

The faceless, soulless, the harkening!

The nightmare follows again,

I only couldn’t wake up and escape!

The fire is everywhere

The fire that tested Abraham
The fire that rested Abraham
Is everywhere, everywhere!

The fire disguises as praise
The fire disgusts as curse
The fire still tests the lovers
It’s everywhere, everywhere!

It’s in the honeycomb!
It’s in the mother’s womb!
It’s with us all along!
Until the earth and moth,
Devour us!

Even after, there is that fire,
It still rests the lovers, tired!
Yet tests those flamboyant liars!

I’m put in it long ago!
Yet, my thick skin senses it now!
I yearn to become Abraham,
Yet, a coward to shrug the Nimrod!

I take shade in my idols,
Believing they shelter me!
The fire rests Abraham alone;
For Nimrod like me,
A mosquito is enough!

O the one who cooled the fire,

save me from the mosquito!

Gaza is stripped!

Gaza is stripped! Gaza is ripped!
The world is deaf to the dunning guns!

States throw lavish parties,
Make hefty sanctions;
Hunt down birds that carry a crumb,
Preying upon children, numb!

World has become unorderly,
By the order that strives to takeover!
In pursuit of bringing the heavens down,
Mother Earth is made into hell!

Haste of the greedy is faster than any fire
Altars may burn down to their very pyre!
The stink of oppression is everywhere,
Choking the souls, from showing some care!

All capable states of the world
Only shed silence from their eyes
Worst, to join hands, to have their share to taste!

Blood on the streets will no more be seen,
As their bodies are dried to the spleen!
Vultures flee the land, for no flesh be seen!

All prayers vain, hit the iron dome of sins
Souls thinned, are in dooms tinned!
Oppression served free, will pay soon,
The divine decree will prevail soon!

The test of time will run out of questions
Answers unexpected will erupt
Banners of oppression will tear down
Light of love, will wear the crown!

Chaos will choke at peace’s feet
Peace will prevail over the vile’s fleet!
Build what you may,
Only truth stands beyond time!

The Right wing, left wing

I was called a bird

Until my wings took sides

Or rather they were named!

Until they were informed,

Or rather influenced to take sides!

I no more enjoyed the altitudes,

As I was looking down, from above!

I had to look to the sides, and no more “straight”!

The wings were pulling me to the abyss of hatred,

They wanted my nose to poke into everything they feared!

I lost my ability to fly; to pull myself together as a bird again!

I just managed to shed the wings,

Now, I have a path to walk!

Dried inks have no moist!

O world! Wash all your flags white,

It’s all blood! It’s all blood!

O world! Stop “fighting” for “peace”!

For there’ll be peace, when there’s no fight!

O world! Tear off all your pacts,

Dried inks have no moist!

O world! Stop rigging mother earth,

Your mines have tarnished her tender bosom!

O world! Stop raising your voice,

Just let things heal; there’ll be no more causes!

O world! O world! O world!

Sigh!!!

Farha

Though doors are hinged,

They’re never stationed!

Doors closed are not always a barrier!

That we imagine behind closed doors,

At times are lesser cruel than the reality outside!

Not all doors we struggle and open

Lead us to the wilderness

It may lead us into an open prison too

Farha, opens one such door herself

The corporate piper

He blew the pipe to his mood,
Had a band of following dudes!
Claps from all of his troops
Buzzed all the WhatsApp groups!

He picked his lot to buffets hot,
“Treated” them at work, soft and hot!
He sermoned them to hit targets,
He warmed-up them to set targets!

He was bespoke about the company’s vision,
He aligned them all to the company’s mission,
The team wore blinds and marched ahead,
In complete faith in the piper’s head!

When they idolized and worshipped him,
He blessed them with his resignation!
The piper went on playing his tunes,
His team that took sides for him,
Had nowhere to go, but to fall for him!

All is fair in career war,
Kill the rats to earn the star!

Just Penned!! – Idle man’s brain is devil’s workshop

Yes, it is devil’s workshop!
When I sink into the void,
Where “I” is null and void,
When “I” settles down,
And God’s to takeover,
Devil rushes in,
To talk his ways to win,
Devil doesn’t want me to think,
Hence he gives me thought and ink!
Yes, when I’m idle he works to tickle me wrong.

Worldly thought is a potion,
That makes you forget yourself!
In truth, you are above thought,
In truth, you are above thought!

To reach beyond your thoughts,
You need sink into the void!
And when you sink and idle
Devil rushes in!
Yes, idle brain is devil’s workshop

When you start to pray,
Devil finds an easy way,
He doesn’t want you to settle,
And bets on your mettle!

Idle, but in His thought
Never give in to the devil,
Keep hitting at zero!
Keep hitting at zero,
To swim through to God!

Just Penned!! – Back to Paperback

We have envied the bookworms in us,
Like we kill the earthworms!
We chide One-size-fits-all,
Yet seek one stop solution!

We develop short-lived addictions,
And kill healthy habits!
With the smartphones in hand,
We’re interested in many things,
Which equals to nothing!

Ah, the pleasure of reading a book,
With the smell of its age was great!
The privilege of reading,
Has reduced to push marketed content!

Paperbacks never hurried us,
They never notified of the “next articles”!
Never they lined-up other authors beside,
Never they asked for our personal information!

Smartphones keep beeping hastily,
Making monkeys out of us!
Munching here and there,
We get lost into discussion threads!

Paperback indeed befriended us,
Made us enlightened polite and humble!
Online readers take to poles,
Fight like ruffians on a rumble!

Pages on a paperback,
Were nothing more than a paper!
The only “fan” page I knew,
Was when there was a power outage!

Online fan pages are hot,
With lewd, filthy comments!
Healthy reading is dead already,
We are prey to the moments!

In the name of convenience,
We have lost the sense of freedom!
Think twice, before you download an e-book,
But, don’t forget to order mine online!
