Friday Funny 560: There is no bad The Legend of Zelda game

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to Friday and I hope everyone is having a great week. It seems like we’re already through the middle of month. It was only yesterday we were celebrating New Years. Aside from New Years, we did get Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day this previous Monday, but if you’re like me, you most likely had to work while everyone had a three day weekend. While everyone had three days off, I was doing overtime. I need a vacation and it’s already 2026. Speaking of the new year, I do want to make changes on my website. While I do occasionally write reviews and talk about the news, I want to expand and make use of my writing. I want to do open discussion topics about anime and video games or play with my creative writing and make short fanfiction. I don’t know exactly have a goal, but I want to make my website fun and welcoming for my followers.

What do you guys think of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword? I recently bought the HD game for my Switch on sale. Is it the worst Zelda game in the franchise? Overhated? or Underrated?

See you next time on your adventure!

Anime synopsis:

Kyotaro Ichikawa is a painfully awkward middle school boy deep in the throes of eighth-grader syndrome, spending his days obsessed reading morbid books like The Encyclopedia of Murder and anatomical diagrams.

His quiet, isolated world is suddenly turned upside down when Anna Yamada, the classroom star, unexpectedly steps into his life.

Whether she’s casually eating rice balls in the library, humming to herself, or suddenly closing the distance between them, Yamada’s unpredictable behavior leaves Ichikawa constantly off balance. And before he knows it, she is occupying his every day thoughts.

As they spend more time together, Yamada too begins to find herself drawn to Ichikawa in ways she never expected. It’s the first time either of them has truly understood what it means to “like” someone.

Through misunderstandings and clumsy, heartfelt emotions, the distance between them slowly, but surely, begins to close.

The Dangers in My Heart anime series is adapted from the long-running manga title written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai and published by AKITASHOTEN, which first launched in March 2018 and currently encompasses 13 volumes. The series is directed by Hiroaki Akagi together with writing by Jukki Hanada, character design by Masato Katsumata and production by Shin-Ei Animation. The Dangers in My Heart stars Shun Horie as Kyotaro Ichikawa and Hina Yomiya as Anna Yamada.

Friday Funny 559: The 6-7 needs a beatdown with a 9-5

TGIF

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another episode of Friday Funny! I hope everyone is doing well this month of January. We are in the middle month. Can you believe that? Today I bring you some fun personal news. My wife and I finally watched Zootopia 2 and it was an awesome movie. I highly recommend it. I will say this, this movie did a better job on making a sequel than Moana 2. In other news, Marvel have been teasing video trailers unveiling more characters to join in the next movie titled Avengers: Doomsday. It has already been confirmed that Steve Rodgers, Thor, X-Men, Black Panther and Fantastic Four will be in the Avengers movie. Will this movie be greater than Avengers: Infinity War? As far as I know, there hasn’t been any news in regarding if the Incredible Hulk, the Eternals, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man or Doctor Strange will be in this new movie. Speaking of movies, I heard James Cameron’s kids prefer Avatar the Last Airbender than the actual Avatar movies. Talk about ironic. Speaking of Avatar: The Last Airbender, it is reported that the animated movie focusing on Aang and his friends titled The Legends of Aang will not be coming to theaters and it will instead be streamed on Paramount Plus. It’s unfortunate since it’s an anticipated movie that hardcore fans have been wanting to see and it’s not fair that Nickelodeon’s other IP SpongeBob can be in theaters and be in streaming service. What do you think? Would you watch it in theaters?

Friday Funny 558: One Piece gets good after season 1

TGIF

Thank God it’s Friday! I hope everyone is having a good start  on the first full week of January. I still can’t believe we’re actually in 2026. Depending where you live, I hope you’re staying warm and dry. Over here in California, it has been a cold and wet few days. No snow where I live, but I had days where I need to cover myself from the rain. It’s rainy days like this where I wish I could stay in bed and sleep with the rain noise in the background. That is my soft lullaby. Sad to say I don’t have much exciting news to share in the anime world or anything to recap except that the news that the One Piece anime will change from weekly anime to seasonal anime. According to some people in the online world, One Piece has ended it’s season one with episode 1155 and the anime will be back this April. As far as I know, One Piece is the only anime with the long-going first season. Let’s hope the new change in direction will make watching One Piece even more exciting. If my Friday Funnies episodes do get long in the thousands, I might consider borrowing a page from One Piece and start fresh.

Friday Funny 557: New year, new rules!

TGIF

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome to the new year of 2026! It’s time to say goodbye to 2025 and welcome this new year. It’s crazy how the year went fast. Did you guys complete any goals or New Year or do you plan to start over with this new one? 2025 was another epic adventure for not just me, but everyone. I hope you ended the year with good terms. For the new year, I plan to continue to write more. In case if you were wondering why I went silent in social media, my life has been busy at work. Having to work Christmas and New years with overtime can take a toll on the health. With an addition to Christmas, I had been busy with social events and family gatherings. Now that the holidays are over, hopefully I can start fresh.

One step forward to the new year!

I salute to the retail workers out there who had to work during the holidays. As someone who works in this field of job, I feel your pain. To anyone who shops, let me break it down for you guys next time you go shopping.

We are humans! We have to work to make ends meet and most of us are not passionate about our job.

We want to go home! Don’t come in and shop 5 minutes or less before closing.

If we are out of stock, we are out of stock! We can’t just magically make something appear in thin air.

If you have a coupon that expired years go, toss it! You had your chance you failed.

Be patient before you shop! We need time to get into our stations so we can service you. You can wait a few minutes.

We don’t make the prices! Blame the economy for high prices.

Go finish your shopping and go home! See you next time!

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! Welcome back to another episode of Friday Funny! I hope everyone is doing well and finishing up Christmas shopping. I got some quick news before we start this Friday episode. In case if you didn’t know, the My Hero Academia anime has concluded. It has been a fun ride and if you started this series back in 2016, I hope the ride was worth it. Now it’s time to move on to other potential anime to get attention like Black Clover who needs a come back in the anime and the manga is reaching the climax in the manga. Besides My Hero Academia ending, WWE wrestler John Cena has retired from WWE. I hope you guys were able to see him in his final show. We have the third movie Avatar: Fire and Ash and we have a new SpongeBob movie titled The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. It looks like December stacking up some big movies this weekend.
