Haven’t had a chance to get out and do any landscapes for quite some time now, what i have been doing is kids birthday parties and the the trip to the zoo for Max’s 5Th birthday!Over the coming posts i will put up some animal shots starting off with this cool guy!I had to shoot through very dirty child finger and nose smudged glass to get this one.Turned out not too bad considering i think.Hope you like him…I do.
Thought I should post something as Jamie told me that I am being slack!Even though he is right I just have been so busy with every kid I know right now having a birthday party including my own.Well any way this was taken up at Hillary’s a couple of months back with some very unusual clouds around that night.I love these boat shots as I love the water and anything do do with boating!!
Another great year at the Red Bull Air race and the first one that i managed to actually get to!Shot this one from the foreshore in South Perth. The next image is for Jamie as he just loved this helicopter and kept saying all day “Hey guys look at that”.Had a great time and it was great to finally meet that little guy Jamie, Xavier is real cute!!
Another beach shot from my rainy weekend down south.Have been going through all my shots and deleting them by the dozen as my tripod had broken and was held together by a wing nut!!Broken tripod=out of focus shots.Oh well after i nearly wore out the delete button i had one that i could save so here it is.Need to get out and shoot as i have nothing to post.
Well i guess it had to happen to me one day and it finally did.My lap top is dead!!Well it is dead for now anyway untill i take it to the laptop hospital. But all is going to be ok as i am on my new PC that i have just had built and thanks to my IT guy Josh all is not lost. Will be able to post again soon when i sort out all my photos and get it all working.See you all soon.
Thought I would play around with a little sepia today and I thought it worked well for this image. The landscape was a little busy and was shot late morning so colours were a little to strong. After a lot of desaturation and adding a tone this is what happened!Black and white landscapes are not my thing so give me any tips if you got them.About a 8 image stitch I think.
Just got back from the weekend in Dongara. As you can see there was not a cloud in the sky for days.Never the less spent all the time on the quads in the dunes and the rest of the time on a drive inland to look at some of this years wildflower display. The flowers were so pretty this year.Have driven past this tree so many times(usually in the dark )while driving up north that I thought this time I would go there in the day time.Unfortunately is was not really the winning shot but never the less it is one off my list.
Still getting use to the new looking screen as everything still looks a bit strange to me.Can’t believe the difference calibrating your screen can make. This image looks how I felt after my weekend away climbing and sliding down hills and rocks,I felt about as old as this chair looks!Tried out some different scenes instead of the beach I was trying out the bush.
Well I finally got something up on this blog from the weekend.Have now calibrated my screen(cheers Luke) so have had to re edit a few of my shots that I had edited over the weekend.Still don’t know if it is right as I feel it maybe a little green?Well anyway took this down south on the weekend in between showers and stopping the tripod getting blown off the rock.Tell me what you recon about the colour that you see on your calibrated monitors.
Just got back from our wild weekend down south. We had an awesome time catching up with Clint and Luke. The weather wasn’t that great and apart from nearly being blown off the cliffs at Sugar Loaf, we still managed to get some shots. Thanks heaps Luke for showing us some great locations. Can’t wait to get back down there again possibly late October, early November.Stay tuned for images…shouldn’t be to much longer, man I need a faster computer these stitches take forever!!!!
Well this is how we spent father’s day this year. This is my 4 year old son on his first quad bike. I think my husband wants to make him the youngest member of the Crusty Demons!!We had a great day; I think Max had the best one riding in the quarry near home. Looks like that trip to Lancelin to ride the dunes will be coming sooner than I thought.
The last few days of sunshine here in Perth have been so beautiful I just can’t wait for summer. All it seems to do is rain and rain!Hope the sunshine lasts for my days down south next weekend and the rain stays away. Will be great to get something new to put on this boring blog. When all else fails post a macro on the blog!
Went out for an early shoot this morning hoping to get a good sky, but it was not that great.I am really board with all my stuff at the moment and have no time to do anything new…it sucks!!There is light at the end of my tunnel as I go down south in 3 weeks so that will be very cool.Any way this is a 5 image stitch taken from the groin at Cott.Never shot there before a bit of a pain with all the people getting in and out of the water and in and out of my shot but never the less patience prevailed and I ended up with this. Not too bad I had hoped for better.
Have had nothing new to edit because i have been confined to my house. Was going through some more old jpegs and wanted to share this place with everyone.i took this at Christmas time while on holiday at Denham.I took it in the middle of the day when it was about 44 degrees.I lacked a lot of sky detail and even more because it is a jpeg. After reading a post on Flemming’s blog about black and white and the middle of the day i though that i might try it to this image. So this is it, black and white verses colour what do you think?
This is my life at the moment, day in day out all i seem to do is paint paint paint. The renovations are killing my photography life. But not for long…today there is light is at the end of the tunnel, I have booked to go down south for the weekend in a few weeks for 3 days of photos photos and more photography. We are going down on the 12Th of September and i can’t wait.Any one else who is keen let me know the more of us the better my camera is very excited!!
Tried my first vertical pano on this old tree that i saw while up at Noble falls the other weekend.Been shooting a lot of trees at the moment as with all the rain and the moss at present they look cool. This was shot after getting that spike in my ankle cause there was no way i was recking the shoot,ED just had to wait!!
Went out on Sunday morning with Clint,Gary,Bree and Jayne(Who both need to start a blog) up to hills.Morning went well with the abrupt turnaround for this shot.It was a moment of opportunity for this photo before the fog rolled in.This was a 4 image stitch only one less than the Murdoch ED had to put in my foot after getting a 3 inch spike embedded in my ankle.I was admitted and then released after surgery.Oh well I got the shot!!
This is my favourite place in the whole world,Monkey Mia.Early in the morning before all the tourists and the hundreds of people that come to see the dolphins it is a calm and tranquil place.Standing on the end of this jetty looking out on a morning like this makes me feel like I could be the only person alive. This is a single image shot with my old camera about a year ago today.I love this place when it look s like this,a sight that is not often seen by people just stopping in for the day.
