STA 2e Exploration Guide Review

The latest STA 2e release, the Exploration Guide, is huge with so many different options in it. In a nutshell this is a book about building out the galaxy for your Star Trek Adventures game and I’m a big fan of these sorts of books, starting with the World Builder’s Guidebook from the days of AD&D. You may have already watched the Continuing Conversations episode on this book so now come along for my own deep dive.

Review of Realms of the Three Rings

It’s been a while since I last looked at The One Ring RPG on this blog and I’m pleased to come back with an awesome addition. Realms of the Three Rings is a sourcebook that came out earlier this year, greatly expanding information on Elves in Middle-earth for the game’s second edition. As the title implies, there is some emphasis on the legacy of power and the wielders of the fabled Three Rings which good news for fans of the The Rings of Power series (controversial, but I happen to really enjoy it). But there’s plenty of other material in here for your TOR 2e campaign in general.

I thought I’d bring back an old post from a number of years ago about the Sentinel Comics RPG which is a fantastic roleplaying game that is a mix of narrative potential and mechanical crunch. Based on the Sentinel Comics deck-building game, this game can cover a ton of different genres. If you come back from the cinema excited to save the world then try this game out!

Outgunned Review

Today I’m going to be talking about Outgunned, the action movie RPG using the same ruleset as the amazing Household RPG that I reviewed last year. The push-your-luck mechanics used by Two Little Mice works well for the sort of high adventure stories of Household, but it’s also great for the explosions-and-bullets feel of action movies.
