Hello

I’m M.G. Siegler. I’m a writer and investor. Currently, I run Spyglass, a site where I write about technology, media, and a range of other topics. I also invest, alongside my wife through Sequin, our family office.

Previously, I spent the last decade-plus as a general partner at GV, where I led over fifty investments in a wide range of technology startups. Before that, I was a founding partner at CrunchFund (now called Tuesday Ventures). You can find a full list of investments over time here.

Before becoming a VC, I was a technology reporter for a number of years at TechCrunch and VentureBeat before that. Prior to that, I was a front-end web developer. And way back when, I worked in Hollywood, trying my hand at screenwriting amongst other less glamorous endeavors.
