Microsoft has just released the latest version of software in the Windows Live family. If the previous release we knew as Windows Live Wave, this time changed its name to Windows Live Essentials. Software packages that go in Windows Live is still as before, such as Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Movie Maker, and some other applications, including Windows Live Writer.

To install Windows Live software, the official Microsoft only provides a web installer and offline installer that includes the entire software. Through the web installer, the user will be able to choose which applications are want to installed and further the process of installation will be done online and download depending on the size of the large number and size of the application to be installed. The limited of installation of Windows Live Writer itself, the size of data downloaded during install about 12MB, and even just select Windows Live Writer, the other programs such as Windows Live Sign-in Assistant and Windows Live Upload Tool will also installed. To install with this way, web installer can be downloaded in the Windows Live Essentials.

If you choose installation by offline, the official Microsoft is only providing the installer package that includes all the applications that are about the size of 134MB. For the installation process in this way also, the user can still choose the applications which you want to install.
