There’s hope at the zoo. A two-part-limerick… 

She stooped as she walked, and she leaned on a cane.
For sure, Auntie Hope was no stranger to pain.
“Already I’m near deaf and blind
And some think that I’ve lost my mind.
The truth..? I have nothing to do but complain.

“I know you can’t stomach your Auntie Hope’s dump
I’ve been here so long I’ve become an old grump!”
I smiled and said, “Here’s what we’ll do.
We’ll go spend the day at the zoo.”
She winked and said, “Let’s go make antelopes jump!”

The defiant student… 

His Catholic school teacher claimed Paul was defiant.
She took him aside. “Let’s go see Father Bryant.” 
Said Paul, “That’s a stupid idea!”
“Oh, really?” scoffed Sister Maria.
“Yes, really! I swear that I’ve been nun-compliant!”

Birth on a plane. A two-part limerick…

While on a long flight to Berlin, it
Was clear that Miss Emily Bennett  
Would go into labor
She turned to her neighbor
And said, “It’ll come any minute!”

“We can’t let the timing condemn it.
Why not name it Sky?” proposed Jim. “It
Is perfect!” he swore
“So how many more?”
“Well, if you must know, Sky’s the limit!”

Of Ovid, the great Roman poet
The lab work succeeded, although it
Created a mutant dubbed Ovid-19

Elf frustration

A fantasy author, while combing his shelf,
Detected the smell of a small woodland elf
“An elf has slipped out of my book!
He’ll hide where my eyes do not look
And can’t be talked into revealing himself…”
