Good morning my friends! Welcome to 2026 – quickly repeat after me – Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit! Whew. Ok. Now we can begin!!
I hope you had a lovely evening last night, whatever you did. I have a long standing tradition with my sister and we always go out to lunch for New Year’s Eve which is special. We toast to our Mom’s birthday, my 24 year cancer free diagnosis date, and of course, New Year’s Eve and the fact that we’ve completed another year, family intact. Amen!
I feel that 2025 was a tough year for a lot of people, filled with life lessons that were difficult to fathom, let alone navigate. But we’ve made it to the other side; a new dawn, a new day, a new year and I, for one, will take full advantage of the reset button! How about you?
I wish for you a year filled with light, love and an abundance of goodness. May health be yours. May you be wrapped in gratitude each and every day. May kindness guide your steps. May you mind your intuition. May you continue to shine your light in your unique way. May you remember who you are and may you remember to stay present when you can.
This life goes by so quickly. Don’t miss a chance to tell a loved one how you feel. Keep on hugging and don’t stop believing in the abundant power of you!
As you may recall, I love snow! I find it mesmerizing to watch it fall and I adore the landscape view when it blankets the earth. I feel as if there’s a simple beauty in snowfall itself which captivates me like I’m a giddy little girl when school is cancelled for the day! Especially if we need to stay home that day…What a luxurious additive to my overall JOY!
Beyond that, though, there’s a gift in that simplicity. A gift of being present, quietly (or giggling like I do!), when we watch the snow fall, delighting in one of Mother Nature’s seasonal weathers – just like the gift of having a Sunday afternoon to relax and to just be. To immerse oneself in the present moment and to allow the brain to surf through the good, picking out memories which flutter to the surface to cherish like fine china, turning over and seeing from all sides and of course, being grateful for the experiences, the people and the memories….
These simple moments of cherished wonder, presence and that overwhelming feeling of love in the precious moment is one of the gifts that we don’t often take time to enjoy, especially during the holiday season when it’s so busy. So today, while it was quiet, I indulged and allowed myself and it was wonderful. I highly recommend taking some time out to just be, to look through old photos, to reminisce and to remember the good times with family and friends. Perhaps you could even reach out to them? Make their day as they made yours special…
Recalling the good times, the moments that stay in your heart because it’s overflowing with love…it’s there where the Presents of Presence reside…flourish…grow…and are there for you. All of the people who throughout your lifetime are here for you, even if they’ve passed away. There’s that faint scent of presence surrounding you now. Can you feel it too? Sometimes I think it’s the twinkling lights and open- heartedness that calls them back to us to visit. Either way, I stand with arms outstretched for the imaginary hugs I feel from all the memories stored within my mind, heart, body and. soul.
I guess I’m feeling a bit nostalgic today. A little bit of snow, twinkly lights and Christmas cheer can do that to me. I’m not afraid of crying or feeling this way as it’s not sadness. It’s gratitude. It’s love. It’s heartlights shining. It’s joy!
Life doesn’t need to be filled with a lot of hoopla. There’s so much beauty to be had in the simplicity of feeling gratitude, love, kindness, and in understanding that we are all just here, doing our best and shining our own heartlights in order to bring more light to our world.
May your Sunday be abundantly filled with love, kindness, peace and presence.
Have you noticed the date? 12/25/25 or in the European style 25/12/25? I love numbers and synchronicities, so I am hoping that this numerical wonder will be lovely for us all – bringing us love, kindness and an abundance of peace throughout the world.
Tonight on Christmas Eve I am quietly relaxing before the big day as I usually do….looking around at the beauty that this time of year brings and relishing the nostalgia that comes along with it. Thinking of Christmases past and all of the friends and family who remain so dearly in our hearts even though they’ve left this earth. Childhood memories flutter up and I smile as a few tears escape down my cheeks. They’re mostly happy tears, but also with a little sadness for what the dearly departed are missing by not being on our earthly plane, even though, I just know in my heart they’re all here surrounding us with love and understanding.
Time has a way of mending broken hearts and old wounds – letting go of what no longer serves us to hold onto and allowing the good memories to wash over our minds and hearts with healing. To not feel so alone in the holiday hubbub is key. Sending texts, emails and Christmas cards to those close and faraway helps. Phone calls are lovely as well since I’ve always felt that connections are the keys to increasing our holiday spirit when it’s low. Is yours low this year? Then, let’s lift you!
Here’s my Christmas wish for you:
Sending heartfelt hugs to all of you! Merry Christmas 2025!I’m grateful for all of you!
It’s SNOWING!!! I have yet to lose my. childish, delightful relationship with snow — especially when it’s falling in big fat flakes outside and I can sit by the window and watch them flurry through the skies! Oh my goodness – I’m in Heaven! I wish you could see my big, goofy smile because it hasn’t left me since I awoke this morning. Truth be told? I woke up in the middle of the night when I heard the plow scrape the street outside and I stood by the window just watching the snow in the darkness.
There’s something magical about snow to me – the fact that each flake is different just blows my mind – it’s like each of us are different and yet the same…perhaps philosophy on a Sunday morning is a bit much, but still – the amazingness of snow beckons me.
The utter silence that isn’t silence, but instead, a warm hum beneath the surface calls to me when it snows. I love love love to be outside in the still of the night listening to the snow fall. The peaceful sigh of the earth when blanketed with snow – to me, there’s nothing like it.
I hope you enjoy your snowday and stay safe! If you don’t have one (and don’t want one) I wish you the same anyway! Thanks for reading about my obsession with snow! I’m going back to the window ledge with my coffee mug and watch the snow fall!
To handle yourself; use your head. To handle others; use your heart.
~ Eleanor Roosevelt
The holiday season can be full of holly jolly times or it can be a difficult meandering of emotions. Lately. I’ve found that each person handles their life journey in a different way and it makes for quite a bit of misunderstandings.
This holiday season feels different. Perhaps it’s because I know of so many people who are struggling; financially, emotionally, physically and that seems to put a damper on the holly jolly moments when you are cognizant of others’ woes. The real test though is to be able to trust in your intuition and be with them when they’re hurting. Put aside other mental thoughts and concentrate on the heart of the matter, with your heart leading the way and not your head. Nobody likes to hear ‘I told you so’ and to help people, it’s more beneficial to sit with them instead of berating them or throwing a pity party for ourselves because that person is not acting the way we want them to at the moment. That simple act of kindness makes the most positive difference and allows the person to feel seen and safe to share more.
Because, let’s face it, it’s not about you. As much as other people’s words, actions and attitudes affect us, it’s more about how they feel about themselves and not necessarily about us. Giving others space as they navigate life lessons is hard to do (believe me I know!) but patience often is rewarded. It’s a difficult challenge to be there heartfelt and keep your unsolicited advice to yourself. But I’ve found that this method allows the one who’s hurting to reach out in a safe way when ready.
Because we can think we know what’s best for all, but we’re only walking in our own shoes, on our own path and for our own life journey. We are not in control of anyone else except ourselves. What someone feels is their business and not ours. While being aware of how one’s actions or non-actions can affect others is key, in my experience, sometimes we have to go it alone which is often misunderstood and hardly ever taken with grace and understanding.
So my long-winded post is about meeting others from a warm, heartfelt position and not a cold, mental one. Speak from the heart, not the head. Use your intuition with peace not punishment. You bridge the gap. Be patient. Be kind. Remember the sensitivity of others. Look outside yourself by making that single act a Christmas kindness. Raise your energetic frequency to a higher level of being. ‘Tis the season you know!
Good Morning Everyone! You know what we do every first of the month! Say: Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit! Did you already do it?
I noticed that @sandraboynton has gotten into the swing of our first of the month tradition, so I thought I’d include her latest artwork. It just felt like it put me in the mood to celebrate so I thought you’d like it too!
I can’t believe that the year is almost over – that we’re in the last month of 2025! What a year it’s been!?! I wish a lucky, happy and healthy last month of the year for all of you – filled with blessings galore and joyful moments with family and friends!
Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I saw the quote above which is attributed to Charlie Brown (big grin) and I thought it was the perfect one to share today. Because even though it’s Thanksgiving (a day for giving thanks), sometimes we only feel gratitude for what we deem is good in our lives. We count the good and not the bad. Human nature as such tells us that we don’t count the bad or the difficult moments. We count the lottery wins, the promotions, the new cars, the positives only!
But what about counting the ordinary? The mundane, the fact that we made it through the day when life isn’t easy? What about being grateful for the presence of those we love in our lives? What about simply being grateful for another day here when this is where we want to be? What about drilling down to what’s important instead of the fluff of the fake happy? What about listening with an open heart to those who need our support when times are tough?
Look beyond yourselves today. Listen without judgement and hold steady for those who need it most. Your support needn’t be frills and glamour. Being real with an understanding heart is what’s necessary today and everyday.
Today, being that it’s 11/11 on the calendar, is a big day for manifestation according to many. Since I love to share what I learn with you, I thought I’d send it along. Your word is your wand my friends so be careful how you speak today for what if your words came true?
Think about that for a moment. What if what you said were to come to fruition? If you declared some tragedy or that you are fearful that something wouldn’t work out and then it came true? You’d be so disappointed, wouldn’t you? So, let’s begin simply with today to speak with positivity, encouragement and joyfulness. Let’s put our particular enthusiastic spin on what we think, say and do today. Allow the presence of peace to expand throughout the day and spread with endless joy, strengthening with each moment of kindness and tranquility. For once, just let go of the worry and concentrate on what it is you want and not what you don’t. Let’s not predict the possible future horrors, but instead take steps in the opposite direction – the direction of ‘what could be positively possible’ and let’s work from there…
We’ve made it to November 1st! WOWSZA! Even Sandra Boynton has gotten into Rabbit Rabbit! If you’re not familiar with today’s mantra for luck, check rabbit-rabbit-white-rabbit-white-rabbit/ so you’re in the know!
I awoke this morning very early and just laid in bed thinking. Of course, the first words whispered were the obligatory Rabbit Rabbit, etc. I am not so naive as to go against tradition! My next thought was of my Dad who celebrated his birthday on All Saint’s Day. Cue the giggles because he always enjoyed telling everyone what day he was born on, especially when he was acting naughty! LOL
It’s been many years since he passed and I still miss him. I’m sure he’d have a lot to say about how life has changed since his death. Always one to give his opinion, he never shied away from sharing what he thought about politics, people and the state of the world.
We are coming into the chilly part of the year, filled with an abundance of harvest colors and holidays. May you continue to share your joys (and your luck) with others and spread gratitude everywhere!
The weatherman is predicting big storms for the next two days – a Nor’Easter as we say in Jersey. Torrential rains and high winds are predicted along with coastal flooding. So, we’ve been battening down the hatches (mateys – lol) and we’re as ready as can be. Fingers crossed and making a sign of the cross for good measure. It is Sunday!
There’s a strange energetic current in the air today too. Do you feel it? Perhaps it’s the storm rolling in, but even the animals are feeling it. When I took the pup out for his walk this morning, the winds were bothering him and he was a bit skittish. Even the local deer herd were stirred up. It’s not that I blame them for I’m feeling it as well.
But I have always loved a rainy Sunday (barring the storm aspect). There’s something peaceful and tranquil about a rainy Sunday, the day of rest, to prep for the week ahead. I always feel that quiet sigh of tranquility on a day like today. Blessed to be cozy and warm (and dry) in our home with my sons. All is well in our world…all are healthy and safe. I count my blessings now more than ever because, as we’ve all learned, life can change in an instant.
I’m sending out heartfelt hugs to you today with much gratitude for being here with me. May your Sunday be full of blessings too.
