Today, my bb is going to be 7 months old. Remember my last post, I pray to God that to have some one good and reliable to take care of Abigail. He blessed me Maria, a domestic helper from Philippine. I thank God that Maria come in a week before confinement lady left. Although she didn’t do as good as confinement lady, but for me, it is good enough. For the past 6 moths, she did a great job of taking care of Abigail.
During these 6 months journey, I learn how to be a EP mum. EP means Exclusive Pumping. Yes, I’m a EP mum as Abigail doesn’t want to latch direct after I resume to work (ard 2 months old). I was very sad and tried to let her re latch, but I failed. Nevertheless, trying hard to pump more frequent in order to catch up her intake and make her fully breast feeding. Unfortunate, due to my low determination and laziness, I still have to top up formula milk twice or more per day. When she is 4 months old, I suppose my supply can catch up her demand but I still give in formula as I couldn’t wake up pump during midnight. Life is getting better when she is 6 months old. Started to feed her solid foods such as cereal, sweet potato, banana, apricot.. My laziness increase more and my determination going low and lower. Today, I’m officially say Good-bye to my 6 months bf journey. Look back, I really don’t know I could be so faithful with something 🙂
For those mummies who try hard for bf, keep trying and believe that you have a bundle of milk.
For those mummies who still bf their Lo above 6 mo, I salute your faith and determination 🙂
Well done and good job to all bf mummies!! Cheers!!
