He Got It, He Got It! Ain’t nothin like the power of the Holy Ghost He Got It!!!!

Praise the Lord!  After 4 1/2 years since his baptism Brother Kanalis received his promise and was filled with the Holy Ghost last night in service.

He told my son last night that he felt like such a weight had been lifted off of him and was still reveling in the fact that he did indeed get the Holy Ghost!

My family and I are so thrilled for Brother Kanalis as he has a special place in our family as he is part of it.  He lived with us for just over 11 months when he needed a little extra help.  He will always be part of our family.

Blessing for you Brother Kanalis and may you continue to find out just how good God is as you continue to learn and grow in HIm.

Thank You!

Thankful today for the freedom we have because of those who have served. I am thankful for my husband who served 21+ years, my brother in law, my dad, my father-in-law, grandfathers, uncles, etc. I love you all!!!! Yes, I come from a long line of veterans and I am proud of that heritage.

Thank you to all who have served, who are serving and to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Also thank you to the families who so bravely stood by those who served and serve. God bless you all!

Off to Peru!

It has been quite awhile since I posted.  Mostly because I have been incredibly busy with Church, family, etc.  One of the things keeping me busy is that our youth group has been studying and making a scale model of the tabernacle.  This tabernacle upon completion will be donated to the Bible College in Lima Peru.  While we still have some work to do on the tabernacle, our youth group is heading to Lima Peru today!

I am so excited and can’t wait to see the miracles God is going to do.

Please pray for us as we travel and for us to be a blessing!

God Bless!

Happy Easter!

Praise the Lord!!

Christ-is-Risen

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.   For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.   For he that is dead is freed from sin.   Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:    Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.”

Romans 6:4-9

May you rejoice in the newness of life that can only come by Jesus.

Wishing you and yours a most blessed Easter!

Easter Blessed Easter Sunday quote

God, can I ask You a question?

Ever been here?

407945_10151289504490584_238961186_n

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won’t get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn’t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn’t want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn’t afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I’m Sorry God

God: Don’t be sorry, just learn to Trust Me…. in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don’t doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won’t God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You’re welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

Trust…easier said than done, but soooo worth it.

“Trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In ALL thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path”

May you find the ability to “trust” today.  It really does make life easier.

God Bless!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

As we get ready to say goodbye to 1012 and hello to 2013 a song we sing in Kids Church comes to mind.

“Count your blessings name them one by one,

Count your blessings see what God has done,

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

Count your blessings see what God has done.”

As we begin a new year, I want to be mindful of my blessings everyday.  God has done so many awesome things this past year and I am expecting many more this year.
