Welcome back! Last update, there was mainly a round of birthdays, with Enzo aging to elder, Abi aging to young adult, and both Nel and Amy aging to teens. An heir poll was had… and then I procrastinated on updates because I was busy playing. So. Time to see what our little name droppers got up to next (and see who won that heir poll!) Let’s hop in with a sim check, shall we?
Ratna’s in a bit of a bummer mood, but Enzo is finding ways to cheer her up.
Jonas calls Rue up and invites her out on a date, interrupting my sim check. We go ahead and go. It doesn’t take long to have a successful date and they’re adorable together.
Back at home, Abi has not bothered to change out of her pj’s (same) and is chatting up her man, Matthieu.
Ah, Tex is our combo breaker. LOL He’s not actively hanging with his significant other. He’s wrapping up a fierce diary sesh about how tense he was because she wasn’t around. (Seriously, first Jealous sim I’ve ever had and is that the Most Annoying Trait Ever? I love Tex but he’s constantly tense.)
Back on the couple train, Nel is in the backyard locking things down with Arjun.
And Amy brought Nico home from school so they chat a while before whipping out their homework.
Jonas comes to visit Rue and I let them have a little fun.
Ratna heads out to serenade Enzo. He swoons.. or his heart’s getting weak in his old age.
And then Ratna rolls the whim to get engaged to Enzo. I had completely forgotten these two weren’t married yet. Ratna is supposedly a family-oriented sim, so I decided early on I’d hold off until she wished for it…and then she just never did. LOL Welp, no time like the present. She drops to one knee by the.. culvert? (what is that. It’s too man-made to be a stream), and asks him to marry her. He says yes. I do not get a picture of the acceptance because…
…I was busy getting a picture of this confetti in the bathroom.
Rue heads down to let Jonas know things are progressing a little quicker than they might have imagined on the family front. He seems largely ambivalent.
She also let her mom know that she would soon be a grandma. Ratna is stoked.
(Incidentally, this does not mean Rue is heir. I want each of the kids to have at least one kiddo, and I don’t trust SP to make it happen.)
The girls have a full day of work. Abi arrives home with a promotion, Rue arrives home with a backache and larger belly. And up on the porch in the background is Susie.
She’s here in time to celebrate Tex as he ages to young adult!
And here’s the middle kid and sole male of this generation as a young adult. He managed to get all 5 positive character traits, and rolled randomly to add to his previous traits of Bookworm and Jealous.
Nel had a pretty sad day at school.
Amy’s wasn’t too great either. Diaries for both.
Then a call came for Amy from a schoolmate, inviting her to their birthday party. She said yes, and drug along most of her sisters too (Nel was sleeping.)
Abi and Mathieu mostly ignored the party to stand out on the porch, flirting. I’ll allow it.
Amy was happy to chat up Madison though. And aw, Madison is lovely. If I hadn’t already paired off Tex, this gal would be his. Ah well, perhaps she will bring forth beautiful spawn that can be married in next generation. Get crackin, Maddy. Uh, I mean.. happy birthday!
We did not get to finish the party however, because Rue was definitely getting a move on in the “bring forth spawn” department.
She checked in.. and then decided she was gonna just grab a bite to eat before having that kid.
Oh, and also a relaxing nap face-first on the floor.
Eventually she gets up and waddles in for the baby extraction procedure. She looks to be very wary.
Oh. Possibly because with that intern at the controls, it is her HEART that has been extracted instead. Not to worry, it’s quickly shoved back into place (more or less) and an ample amount of super glue is applied.
Second time is the charm and a lovely baby girl is successfully extracted. Welcome, Roxanne! (First R name to be randomized… So here we have the official announcement that Rue is a spare. Spare’s children will still follow the name, but won’t have to have three letters. Anything more tangentially related to the family, I won’t bother with following the name theme at all.)
Back at the house, Abi is trying to get some work done on the computer, Ratna is distracting chatting with her, and Enzo is being the worst mentor ever as he laughs at Nel’s possible concussion. (I laughed too, but I wasn’t mentoring her.)
Blah blah, bassinets are more boring than burritos.. so Roxanne is aging up!
Aww, what a doll.
Aaand then a UFO shows up. Enzo goes out to check out the lights and gets sucked up.
Finally they bring him back as the sun rises.
Nel & Tex continue to gravitate towards hanging out together.
With the official result of Rue being a spare decided, we throw a wedding to get her married off.
This is Juliet, Jonas’ sister (so the bride’s soon-to-be sister-in-law.) She showed up to the wedding in white. Rude.
Rue doesn’t care though. She outshines Juliet anyway. LOL She grabs a selfie with her man while their baby girl watches.
They really are a cute little family.
But it’s time to set Roxanne down so they can say their vows.
She is not thrilled with this development.
Man and wife.

Just a couple shots of Rue & Jonas being lovey while Roxi watches with approval.
And one last shot of Roxanne before the new Villa family is moved out. I already miss not having a toddler. Ha!
So who IS the heir you ask? Nel pulled ahead in the last couple days of the poll, so she’ll be our heir. She looks unimpressed with this news.
And Amy is unimpressed as well, when she gets back from her babysitting job where Ellie is apparently a little hellspawn.
Awww, Ratna and Enzo, still so cute!
And love must be in the air, because both Abi and Tex are feeling flirty with their mates.
Tex and Susie are getting pretty serious. He drops to one knee and asks her to marry him.
She says yes to the rock (and to Tex).
Abi and Mathieu, meanwhile, are getting serious in a totally different way. *hehe*
But when they’re done, they also get engaged.
Amy is promoted, but STILL not a fan of her babysitting charge.
Abi and Mat head out on a date.
They opt for a quick and quiet elopement while they’re out.
And with that, the new Mrs. Gauthier moves out.
The next day, a party is thrown at the house for these two.
They take a moment upstairs in bed lol, then head down to the arch to say their vows.
And with that, Tex moves out with his wife into the Pancakes household.
Our own household now feels tiny with just Enzo, Ratna, Nel, and Amy in it. Next time will be the start of Gen 2 as we find out officially who our heir is. (It was a close one. Everyone got at least one vote, and for a long while things were tied.)
Ratna’s gettin’ her ginsu on. She’s officially reached max level of cooking, and is making her way up gourmet cooking as well (5? 6?)
It’s a Monday, but school was not kind to these two. I call this “Nelancholy and the Infinite Sad Tex”
Amy’s doing great though, AND she brought Nico home from school. She ropes him into helping her with her project. Social time AND gettin’ those grades up. I like your efficiency, girl.
Enzo is still working on that fitness skill. I believe he’s at 9 now.. not sure how he’s not maxed. He autonomously works out all the darn time.
Rue’s taking a moment to tend the garden.
And Abi’s hanging out with her dad, building her video game skill while he appears to be saying fatherly things.
Rue wanted in on the workout action, so Enzo hopped off the treadmill to train on the proper form. If I was that punching bag, I’d be scared. Check out that girl’s Look.
Tex and Nel have cheered up now. I love their smiling faces.
And it’s a big day.. Abi’s birthday!
Possibly even more lovely, and she adds Good to her trait list.
The next day, Ratna arrives home from work with a raise. Doesn’t she look… proud…? That’s not how you do a proud face, honey. Ah, whatever. At $128/hr, you’re the highest paid retail worker around. Cross your eyes if you want.
Enzo gets home and is not amused. Neither am I.. still no promotion. I thought for sure today. Ugh.
On her walk around the neighborhood gathering things, Ratna notices that she can “Explore” that weird tree she’s been watering. Woot! Let’s go!
Oh. Maybe I should have checked her needs first. Oh well, too bad. We’re here now.. you’re exploring this place.
After trying (and failing) to find frogs, she decides to fish at the base of the waterfall.
She catches something! I mean, it’s just a trout, but still.. she looks so pretty! Who looks pretty while fishing? Ratna, that’s who.
Back home, Tex is posing for the camera again. I contemplate renaming him Flex, but that would break the rules. 😉 So instead I decide he’s going to get a Simstagram.
And it’s Nel’s birthday!
The first thing she does is let me know that she’s STARVING. Hold on, Nel. Put candles back on that cake, then you’re free to get real food.
We needed that cake to stay intact for this reason – it’s Enzo’s birthday too!
Check out that silver fox. 😉
Tex and Nel continue to be possibly the closest of all the siblings. They pair off a lot. 🙂
Ratna brings a stack of dirty dishes to bed with her.
And then breaks her arm in the effort of keeping crumbs out of the bed. LOL She popped out of bed only to get right back in. This cycled through about three times before she finally set the dishes down on the nightstand before climbing in bed. So weird.
And there’s that promotion! Still.. he’s at level 7, so I’m not holding my breath that he’s going to max the career (there are 10 levels, right? I’m assuming so.)
OMGoodness, everyone congregated in one room! Family picture!
Tex invited Susie over. He snapped a selfie (a togetherie?) with her, because of course he did.
After a bit more conversation, and finding out officially that she was single, Tex laid some moves on her.
Awww.. a rose…
Attempt at first kiss is a success!
And his reaction was to be expected by now. Seriously, I know he has the painter aspiration but if he’s heir, he’ll be building his photography too.
And they make it official, and then engage in some joint squealing over that fact. I leave them to it.
And this is what maximum Charisma looks like.. meaning Miss Rue has officially achieved her first aspiration of Friend to the World. She randomly gets assigned the Soul Mate aspiration next. I figure after focusing her social times on everyone in the world, she’ll be ready to focus just on her man Jonas.
Amy’s invited Nico over to hang out some more because…
Aw, and she’s pretty too! She gets Clumsy to go along with her Outgoing trait. I eeny-meeny her up an aspiration, and homegirl wants to be Fabulously Wealthy.
I of course have aged up Nico too, and I get them set to take a pic together. Enzo decides that he Just. Can’t. Even. with his baby growing up, and he tries to crawl into her soul. Photobombing, level 100.
Still, these two are super cute together. 🙂
Abi Zest & Mathieu (?Gauthier?)
Tex Patil & Susie Pancakes
Nel Renteria & Arjun Peters
Amy Renteria & Nico Caliente
We start right where we left off last time – Monday evening. Rue, Abi, Tex, and Nel all brought home projects. A parent was on hand to help out the younger three, but Travis has gone back to not showing up for Rue. Not to worry though, Amy may have literally JUST had her birthday (thus why she doesn’t have a project of her own), but she’s more than happy to help out her biggest sis. Fun note: Amy does most of the work, while Rue just chats with everyone. lol
The two little girls kept shooting each other looks that slayed me.
Our lovely teen ladies.
Though the first to finish was my man Tex.
Aw, look! The closest I’ve ever gotten to a family dinner! Only missing Rue. (No idea why they all decided to skip the dining table this time around.)
Rue was in the next room, finishing up a bit of studying.
Awww, Ratna and Amy became besties! ❤
Abi meanwhile is busy flirting it up with Mathieu. Aw, and look through the window! Good ole Don Lothario brought along his son..
..this is Arjun, and he and Nel are working on becoming buds out here.
And not to leave our youngest out, this is Nico Caliente and he and Amy are hitting it off rather well.
Tex had been chatting with someone and then I saw this lovely young redheaded teen and drug him over here to introduce himself, stat. Lo and behold, she is a Pancake! These younger three are nailing it with finding possible future mates with fun (for me) lineage.
And now the first of our babies is aging up to a young adult!
Congrats, Rue! You look… pretty much the same as before. LOL She adds Goofball to her Athletic and Perfectionist traits (and because I can’t remember if I mentioned it, she aspires to be a Friend to the World.) She managed to get 4 out of 5 of the character traits, I think missing out on Empathy.
And this is her future spouse, Jonas Villa. He’s been a young adult for a few days now, so he’s pretty excited to see his bestie has grown up a cutie.
We waste no time and head out on a date to kick that relationship up to the level we hadn’t quite made during the teen years.
And then Rue’s dad Travis creeps along in the background as his baby girl gets some sugar from her man. LOL He picks the oddest times to show up.
Back at home, we’ve got another birthday. Tex takes a deep breath, blows out the candles and..
..oh. Oh honey, no. Just no.
He don’t mind it though, as he immediately flexes for a selfie in his weird military-meets-surfer styled outfit.
But I mind it, so off to style my cutie I go.
Fortunately he’s just as happy with this outfit. LOL I was half the self-confidence that Tex has.
Another day and Jonas calls Rue up to meet him for a date. Things are going well.
Really well. Like they’re just too cute for words.
So while no one is yet the heir, I let Rue lock this boy down. There will be no story progression snatching him up. Uh, I mean.. look, romantic!
He accepts.
And they seal the deal with a kiss. Then it’s back home, as she’s got a while to wait before she can marry. (I won’t marry anyone until heir has been decided, because once I move them out, that’s it.)
Back at home, Tex is getting a bit of mentoring from Enzo on the only skill Enzo cares about. LOL
Nel is patiently learning to say Sorry, though she looks like she’s just tuned mom out and is nodding now and then.
Amy’s autonomously taking out the trash, because she’s no fool and knows a quick way to raise favor with me.
Ratna’s birthday!
Nel comes along to celebrate her venture into adulthood.. where she looks no different.
Amy takes advantage of Nel bringing Arjun home from school with her and sets about making him her friend as well. She just needs one more friend for that milestone to be completed.
Abi is set to wandering the neighborhood and finding people who are in a bad mood so she can raise Empathy.
Level 8 charisma looks like this! After this, Rue is set loose to make friends.
Nel meanwhile, nailed down her Rambunctious Scamp goal.
Our good buddy Tex, who aspires to be whatever the Painter thing is, is painting.
And I’ll leave you with this adorable shot of the little girls spontaneously hugging after breakfast.
Biggest sister Rue is not thrilled with the overflowing potty behind her, methinks, while youngest sister Amy munches a carrot in hopes of getting that plumbob a happier color.
Tex tries to reason with the monster under his bed. It does not work out as he had hoped. I finally remember that darn light after this.
Enzo hanging out on the couch with the two little girls.
I thought this was going to be a fire.. but it appears to just be a broken stove? We take the lazy route and replace it.
It’s Monday, and thus school project day! Rue, Tex, and Abi head to the yard to work on them. Tex flies through his, so I have him do his homework out there too. It’s too sweet to watch them all chatting. My siblings and I never got on this well when doing homework. LOL
And speaking of siblings getting along.. Amy and Nel are busy being the most meltingly adorable toddlers out on the front walk.
Another day, another round of homework.
No homework for Rue yet though. She’s supposed to be taking a jog to clear her mind.. but mainly seems to be using the jog to scowl at things.
The little girls gather on the couch with Ratna to watch TV.. which appears to raise their imagination and communication. Binge-watching doesn’t rot your brain if you’re a sim.
But just in case, Enzo reads his girls to sleep too so that it’s not all screentime 24/7.
The next day the little girls get worked hard. Nel is thisclose to maxing everything, and while she’s a couple days younger, we’re not about to let Amy slack off either.
Besides, napping toddlers gives Ratna the perfect chance to bake up a cake for the actual birthday girl, Abi! Johnny even autonomously came over to visit, so it’s pretty perfect.
He seems a little sad that his baby girl is growing up so fast though.
A lovely young lady though. 🙂 We roll randomly as always and she adds Bro to her Lazy trait. She aspires to be a Computer Whiz.
Just for fun, here’s our big girls now that they’re both teens. And yup, I play with walls down and don’t always remember to switch for pictures.
Amy’s looking delightfully proud of herself. And really, me too. I wish all my sim toddlers were independent. lol
Enzo’s taking a minute to play with Nel before I force her back to wrapping up skills. (She’s had movement done for a while now.)
Ratna’s so pleased. She got to give advice to one of her children for once! Ha. When the school calls, she’s always at work so it’s always Enzo that advises there.. and the kids have tended to go to him as well once he’s home.
Abi settles in to quickly raising that logic skill to 4.
Tex is.. still here. LOL Poor middle child. I forget about him a lot. He’s generally on his violin anymore.
And I’m happy to announce that Nel made the cut for maxing out her toddler skills before her birthday.
Aw, and she’s a cutie too!
Seriously, I’m never going to be able to pick for heir. She rolls Loner as her trait and we give her Rambunctious Scamp for an aspiration since she maxed movement before anything else as a toddler.
Two A students (Rue & Tex), two B students (Abi & Nel, who have tons of time to raise those grades.)
And a promotion for Enzo, bringing him to a personal trainer!
Everyone is gathered in the living room to help Amy along with her skilling. The TV is on for imagination, and a chorus of “Why?” is queued up.
Rue had managed to escape the “Why?” onslaught, but helps out in other ways. 🙂
Definitely a resemblance there. 🙂
Here’s Rue with her mate-to-be, Jonas
And Abi making an “overly attached girlfriend” face at her guy, Mathieu
This all-smiles girl is in the midst of stomping off to her time-out.
Once she gets there, she’s appropriately grouchy about the whole situation. Too bad, Nel. Once you hit school-age, you’re old enough to know not to dump paint on the ground.
Meanwhile our actual toddler is busy being responsible and skilling away, orange plumbob be darned. (I didn’t quite make top-notch with Rue, but I’m determined to with all the others!)
Abi’s applying herself to skilling.. on her video games. Ha.
Rue’s loving Enzo’s new career task of mentoring someone in fitness daily.
Tex is loving his fish and chips. LOL
And Ratna gives the garden love.. at the cost of smelling to high heaven.
Finally, Amy maxed out all her skills! She actually did it faster than any of the others (by a few hours lol). Time for this girl’s birthday!
And here she is! I feel like she’s got a look most “her own” out of her siblings. Eager to see as she grows. She rolled the Outgoing trait and has the Social Butterfly aspiration.
