Welcome
Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you’ll enjoy reading. Below is some handy information that you may find helpful to get started with.
Neverdoitagain is, as of July 16th, 2019, a complete Sim story (simlit) that is loosely based around the legacy challenge, though it doesn’t follow its rules. It contains serious themes (murder, suicide, sexual assault), profanity (mainly in generation 4), and sex without graphic details. Warnings are provided in respective posts.
This story isn’t one with good endings and it has a fair amount of sad and depressing situations, so if it’s not your cup of tea, I’d recommend you to skip this read.
Please be aware that English is not my first language, and so the writing, especially in the first generations may be a bit rocky and the writing may not be that smooth, although I can assure you that I’ve improved greatly through the course of the story (note: 6th generation heir is dyslexic so it contains deliberate mistakes).
It is written in a diary form and it’s told from the perspective of 6 heirs. Each generation has a prologue, an epilogue, 22 chapters and at least one bonus post.
The story begins with Madelyn Rosenthal arriving to a new town with a bunch of hard experiences. She is determined to start anew, but when a tragedy strikes and her past reaches her, she has to make some decisions on whom to trust.
Later on we are reading about the adventures of her son, Fidelio Rosenthal, who reaches adulthood surrounded by pain and tears. Will the best time of his life turn into a disaster? How to handle the family tragedy?
The story continues with Fidelio’s daughter, Gemma Rosenthal, who also has a hard time with her parents and best friend, who’s her cousin. She looks forward to the grand trip connected to her studies that may be merely a way to run away from trouble. What will she experience in Egypt, France and China?
The next heir is Gemma’s son, Samien Robinson, who begins his adventure with a deep-rooted hatred for other people. Will going through 7 stages of sins make him learn his lesson or won’t he ever change?
The torch is passed on to Sam’s daughter, Hailey Nathifa Rosenthal, a talented vocalist, who suffers from daddy issues and is attracted to older men. She has big dreams of becoming a well-known singer. Is anything going to stop her on the way?
The 6th heir is Hailey’s son, Ronald Rosenthal, who struggles with dyslexia and romantic issues concerning his ex-girlfriend. When his twin sister, Rebecca, suddenly goes missing, Ron doesn’t hesitate and decides to go on a wild goose chase with his best friend. Will they manage to succeed, and what if she doesn’t really want to be found?
‘Posts’ is where you can go through my latest posted stuff. If you want to read more about me and my blog in general, you can do so going through the ‘About’ section of the menu. It also contains a contact form and my e-mail.
‘Chapters’ provides you with a chapter list of each generation, and a story written after the formal ending of the story. It is picture-less and titled ‘Britt and Clint’. Please note that, although I decided to put it as a sub-item to ‘Generation 6’ (it focuses on 6th generation’s characters), it is only 6 standalone chapters that do not even form a proper story. You can can view the chapter list to the 6th generation normally, even though a lot of the links in my menu are unclickable.
‘The Family’ contains a family tree made on familyecho so that you don’t get lost in connections (even if they may not be properly a part of family, most of my characters are related in some way).
‘Summary’ contains summaries of all generations, if you want to skip right to what interest you.
‘Random Story Stuff’ is just what it sounds like. You may find some fun character trivia and games in there.
‘Random Non Story‘ contains my Sim version of my favorite singer, Marina Diamandis, and a little rambling about what followers mean to me.
‘Awards’ is a perfect way to get to know the person behind all the pixel people, as I answer some questions that my fellow bloggers asked me when they tagged me to do the WordPress award posts. One of the answers even describes ideas that I discarded while writing.
‘Downloads & Credits’ sections is a perfect way for you to grab any of my characters you may want, the houses I built for the story and even some distant relatives not even featured in the story. It also contains a credits list with the links to all the custom content I’ve used listed by chapter, as well as some fun apps that helped me make the story more real and entertaining.
‘Tips & Tutorials’ contains some useful information for Sims 3 players – my tutorial on custom content recategorizing, as well as a detailed tutorial about what you can do with mods to improve your storytelling.
‘Blogroll’ is a way to promote my fellow bloggers whose stories I’ve enjoyed.
Now, with all that covered, here is where you can start reading at the very beginnning!
