On 15 Nov 2008, hubby and I threw Najmi’s 7th birthday party at McDonald’s. We used BEN 10 (Najmi’s fav) as the theme. About 100 paxs turned up, adults and children. Najmi’s friends certainly had fun and same goes to the adults.

McD’s party team did their best to ensure that the party went on smoothly. Of course it was not perfectly done, but, it was well done. It’s worth the $$$.

All in all, i’m glad that everyone had fun, especially the children. To see their smile and laughter and enjoyment, is a blessing to me and family. Perhaps, next year, insyaallah, we’ll do it better with more enjoyment and laughter from more children.

It’s been few weeks since Papa had his operation done. I’m so grateful that everyhting went well and I thanked ALLAH for giving me such strength and ‘rezeki’ for me to do the opt without hindrance.

The best thing is i didnt even tell anyone about it, except my in law. I wasnt ready to share but now I am, only with the person who reads this, and I know who.

Papa is recovering well now and I hope that he is able to start a new life with all the prosperous things for him to cherish. He has gone thru so many hard times, and i really hope this (sakit) will be the last. Insyaallah.

On 3 Aug, i’m going to hold a kenduri doa selamat & tahlil for arwah babah and hope everything will go well as well. Insyaallah.

Last weekend I took a short break and flew down to Langkawi. It was a great weekend. I really felt the peace in me after a hectic week and all the ups and downs of my life.

I went there with mama, iffa, my pride & joy, najmi and baby dania. We arrived peacefully and went for short trip to Underwater world and Cabel Car.

The living creatures under the water are just so beautiful and it’s beyond what you can imagine. What fascinated me most is the penguins welcoming actions to all of us who were around to experience their intelligence in making good first impression. Surprisingly, I felt as if I am watching ‘HAPPY FEET’ in real actions. Even najmi was refering to the penguins as ‘HAPPY FEET’.

Then we went up the cabel car where I could not imagine how TUN can visualize such a magnificent gesture of building this prestigious facilities for one to appreciate the true beauty of Langkawi, its GEOFOREST. From the top we could see the island’s natural beauty which can never be describe by simple words. The cool breeze passing through makes the trip to the top even more fascinating.

Next day, we went to Air Hangat, where Najmi & Dania took a good hot spring shower. As for the rest of us, we enjoyed our feet soaked and some splashing here and there. It was unlike before (when I was very young) but it still is curative.

Then, we stopped by at KILIM GEOFOREST PARK, where I enjoyed the most. We went to fish farm and I really enjoyed feeding the sting rays. They are so pampered and I still can picture the look they gave me when i touched them. The skin is super soft and flawless and I really don’t know how to describe it. Then we went to KILIM itself where I really thanked god for HIS creations. It’s beyond what one can think of. We fed the monkeys and we even fed the HELANGs. They are so graceful and picturesque. Next was the stop at the BAT cave, where Iffa was terribly terrified, to again mesmerize ourselves with the beauty of nature.

On the last day, we went to the BATIK village and experienced hand batik painting and bought some souvenirs. We even visited FIELD OF BURNT RICE, and found that there’s nothing much to be seen as it loses its value as time goes by.

Food wise, we enjoyed the NASI GORENG UDANG which is sold at KILIM as it is SUPERNICE.

All in all, i find peace and calmness during this trip and I can be sure, I’m definitely going back again, especially to KILIM GEOFOREST PARK.

Whatever your grade or position, if you know how and when to speak and remain silent, your chances of real success are proportionately increased.

Babah….Papa…,

i carry your heart with me ( i carry it in my heart)

i am never without it ( anywhere i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling )

i fear no fate ( for you are my fate, my sweet )

i want no world ( for beautiful you are my world, my true )

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows ( here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide )

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart ( i carry it in my heart )

Last week was the first week of school holiday. So my family and I decided to take a break and we when to my fav destination, MALACCA. I have always loved Malacca. Dont’t know why but i just fell in love with the place when I went there few years back. So we when there, mama, my sis & her daughter (dania) & above all, my pride and joy, Nuaiem Najmi. I really had fun and i think everyone did. We went to my fav baba nyonya restaurant and portugese restaurant. For mama and my sis, it was their first experience and they loved it. Memang makanan kat situ sedap and reasonable. Almost everyday we planned out trip and brought them to all the places which I believe they would enjoy. We went to have bird’s nest dessert and drinks, the best cendol durian in Malacca and fruit candy. It reminds me of the time i was in fremantle…enjoying the apple candy…Superlicious!!!. P jonker’s walk and as usual I have always loved those historical trinkets and I know hubby would love it as well (sayang…papa had to attend to his work so tak dapat ikut). Najmi above all had so much fun and he really showed he is ready to be a big bro. He really cares about Dania and tried his very best to accommodate to Dania’s demand ( knowing for fact that he is the only son ). Umi is really proud of you sayang…

Does anybody know what it means? Gosh…some misuse it like nobody biz. Without knowing the actual meaning, how could one confidently convinces the other on what is to come..That’s the truth in my workplace. I guess everyone is talking about it but with less understanding. I’m equally confused with what’s going on 😮

With the recent news on petrol prices, i believe ramai citizens yang tak happy. What will happen to all the medium to lower income earners. Ishh…aku risau and sedih with all these changes. I know the only constant change is CHANGE itself. But then….the change has to be something that is beneficial to everyone or at least it considers the impact on everyone. 2008 is not a healthy year for Malaysia. After the political tsunami on March 8, the sequel is even unpredictable. Currently, petrol prices uncertainty, in future, who knows????
