Craig and Grace Ann were incredibly generous letting us stay in their home at Oyster Bay, Long Island (the tiny house pictured above with the pumpkins out front). We were spoiled with Grace Ann’s beautiful home cooked meals, enjoyed pizza at Little Vincents (how could you go wrong with hanging plants from mirrored tiles on the roof and neon signs?!) and Dan got to spend time with his biological father (which presumably makes Craig Scout’s biological grandfather… you can really see the similarities in the photo above). We also had a few fun adventure with Grandma Betty to The Met, Central Park, a walk on the High Line and exploring Soho, Chelsea and the Upper East Side.

We attempted to be tourists, then remembered it’s not really for us. Highlights have been discovering some good food, good coffee, the Fremont market & a haircut for Dan.
Tomorrow we leave for Vancouver and tonight Seattle is farewelling us with an electrical storm.
ps. Dad, the photo of Dan eating is especially for you!

Fortunately there were no Bob sightings. Unfortunately there were no Agent Cooper sightings. Scout wasn’t all that impressed that we were staying AT THE GREAT NORTHERN, but he definitely liked the disco lights in the spa bath.
