Hey guys, Oinky13 here. Today I thought I’d go off the club penguin cheats and discuss something that has been a heated discussion for a good year or two now.
Disney. One word, big power.
So, has Disney helped Club Penguin? Or have they ruined it?
In my opinion I liked Club Penguin the way it was early on, I think Disney has made it too big of a deal and have made it strongly for little kids. They also are all about members, it seems they go by a policy “if you’re not a member, we don’t give you fair treatment.”
Now, let’s think about the game it’s self. Some may say Disney is adding many great new parties. New? I’d say not, it’s the same every year, and now they can’t even call the Christmas party the Christmas party. It’s been the same stages again and again, and the clothing catalog is just stuff for the current party. In the past, the clothing catalog would have LOTS of great clothing, stuff for summer time (bathing suits) stuff for winter (coats ect.) and so on.
Some may also say that Disney is adding a lot of new games to Club Penguin. Well yes, they are, however like in Card Jitsu, if you don’t run down to Toys R Us to buy the cards, you’re not going to be able to win easily, and if you’re not a member, no fire ninja.
Me, here’s what I think. I’ve been a great customer for Disney and Club Penguin – they’re lucky because I am well aware of how they’re sucking money out of kids and parents pockets. I have bought many toys (only for the coin code) and have been a member (monthly payment) for 3 years. Lately, I feel as if I don’t belong on club penguin – as most non members feel. I can easily live without club penguin, I have many great friends at school, I have a great life with a loving family, and most importantly, I’m happy. I go on club penguin because when I’m at my computer I would like something extra that I can do, which is what I thought club penguin was for. Back in the old days, you buy stuff, you chat, (games aren’t really popular), you find Rockhopper. It was simple, easy and enjoyable. Now a days, I feel as if I don’t belong because, well, no one is there, when I talk to someone they don’t usually respond, and if they do, they’ll say something completely random and immature. Then of course there’s the famous penguins (who in the long run have a suckish life with no friends and parents who want them dead, if the parents aren’t already dead) who have the internet tough guy attitude and wouldn’t want to be seen with you on a virtual game. So there goes the chatting factor from the old days before Disney advertised. I could really go on and on but I’m sure you get the point.
So really the only thing that would make this game better is if club penguin returned back to how it was in early 2o07 (removing Disney ownership). Which as all of you know (sorry to break your heart) it won’t ever happen.
Here’s the deal, Disney owns club penguin and club penguin is going slowly downhill every day, and that won’t change. So, you have a choice, it’s either you keep playing with Disney’s reign, or you quit and enjoy your life without an online game. It’s not a hard choice, and it’s up to you completely.
To end this post I would like to say this, remember, you have a choice to play, take it or leave it, club penguin is an option, if you like it, great, go play it. If you are like me and dislike it, well, that’s also ok, so make the most of it, it’s a shame what Disney did to the game but we can’t do anything so just try to keep your head up and look toward your options, stay positive, stay smart, stay away from Disney’s traps to get you to cough up cash.
