Zumiao 祖庙

I had been to this place several times, I only considered it as a park with beautiful ancient architectures and gardens. That was until the last time.

It was a Daoist Temple. It was first built during the Song Dynasty (1078-1085). By the early Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911), it had gradually become a temple with a complete system. It also had a rigorous structure and strong local characteristics.

In its leaflet, the whole name is: Foshan Zumiao Museum 佛山市祖庙博物馆, Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum.

There were too many things to see. I couldn’t say exactly what was what. I was just strolling between the gardens and buildings.
