MY WORK THEN AND NOW
I typically use this site (OnePageWriter) as a work/resume page. I’m building another (AlmostChange.wordpress.com) that will serve more as a personal library or museum of my work. I consider myself an ALSO-RAN activist, meaning that it wasn’t in my nature to be the showpony but to end up more as the kind of worker bee who serviced the more royal winners! You can click over to AlmostChange to see it as a work in progress.
You can click to the various pages on this site to see a summary of my resume, sample portfolios of my writings, and a blog that I will be using in 2025 to supplement commentaries I will make on Substack about undergoing progressive progress during the age of Trump. Substack more readily lends itself to permitting me to see payment for articles I produce. I try to work on a part-time basis while writing especially for or with interesting community enterprises.
One project I’m pulling together — inspired by my partner/husband — centers on our work to journal the adventure we’ve taken by adopting into our family during COVID two special, special needs dogs. Two double merle puppies who were born with sight and hearing challenges. The dogs, who we call DogtorYakoo and Nuka are examples of great pets that are capable of learning their own tools and tactics of communication with each other and with their humans. We’ve come up with a new touch and tap language system that we call Yakoo’s PAWtactile process that helps them understand what they should do and helps them understand the world that surrounds them. PAWtactile methods grow out of the PROtactile methods DeafBlind humans are using to advance the American Sign Language model. More about this in the future.
You can click directly to my Innovation Resume page to see my career history. I have posted two PDFs, one with a longer resume and the other a short, one-page version. In addition, on my Writing/Portfolio page you can view samples of my work efforts. I spent most of my time writing program, service, and advocacy narrative pieces, as well as PR docs, newsletters, agency correspondence, progress reports, etc. I was basically considered a grants and contracts expert even when serving as a project consultant or a staff administrator.
