his is the last post. Catie was picked up on this day by her mother. She introduced some of her converts to her mother and Aunt. Later the district was taken out to dinner. Catie was loved by those she served.

ne Week and Counting May 28, 2013

So what have you been up to this last week?

 

 

hmmm teaching people!! we have been super busy!!!!!!! we have a lot of new investigators... and we have a baptism this Sunday for a youth that we have been teaching since last summer!!!! and we finished all of our exchanges fffiiinnnaaallllyyy!!! i thought that was going to kill me... but alas i am still alive!!!!!!

 

sister tagge are trying to spend as much quality time together as we can... i know it will have very hard for her when i leave...

 

When I come get you what are we going to do?

ohhh... well

 

people: Juana- we already have an appointment with her on Tuesday at 12pm

           Stephen and Esther- early evening around 6ish

          Cecilia- after juana time

          

lunch/dinner ... just all the asl missionaries... so you can see the missionaries that i have been working with!!!

Two weeks!!!! 5/20/2013

ok so I have two weeks left!!! we sister tagge and I are still hitting it hard!!! ashely still hasn't come to church but we have faith that she will and she can get baptized before I go home!!!! we had fun today we went bowling with our investigator westly... he was so nice and paid for all of us to bowl!!! he is such a sweet old man!!!! and all he does is bowl all day everyday!!! but all the members know him and love and respect him... we are just happy that he is learning from us!!! :)

Four Weeks 5/6/2013

so my week...  I cant remember what i did this week... all my days just blurr together... well i went to a meeting on tuesday and then had another one on wensday... they were both over the same topic.... quite intersiting about how missionary work is like aqn escalator and how we always need someone at all the different levels of teaching so we can baptize every week... I think it is really good and that if we all as missionaries try to do it, it will happen!! :)

 

Then i went on one exchange... it was kinda hard she came here to the deaf branch and on the same day there was a deaf expo right outside of our mission so we couldnt go and all the deaf people were not home... so... that was an intersting day... but a lot of fun at the same time :)

 

But i have some good news, we are trying to have a baptism before i go home... and we are teaching Ashely her mom is a member in the branch and well she now has the desire to follow christ... she has a date for the 19th... so pray for her... she has had an intersting life... she is 16 and has told us about all the drugs and stuff she has taken and how she just wants to grew up and be smart about life... and she has changed so much!!! I just love her to death!!! :) :) :)

 

Sister Tagge and i are doing great!!! we feel like some times we run out of things to talk about... we already know everything about eachother... so conversations can get intersting at times... and we always try NOT to talk about home so we both dont get trunky... but all in all we are doing great!!!

 

For our p-day activites we are planning to go walking around down town disney, and then our zone is going ice skating... i dont think i want to ice skate so i will stand at the side and take pictures... i know its lame but i just dont want to get hurt... :( but i think down town disney will be fun!! :)

 

Wow there still a lot of snow in colorado!!! that is supper crazzzy!!!! and no i havent smelled the fires... we dont hear a lot about what is going on... :(

 

I am happy that you had the elders over for dinner that is probley why i have 4 dinner appointments this week!!! thank you!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) and i am happy that you are having fun with the missionaries!!! :)

 

so for mothers day... i can call... we are planing on calling between 4-6ish our time so 3-5 your time... i can three way on my phone if i need to... jen told me that you mom will be at crystals and so... i can do that... so i hope that all is well and that you cannot wait to talk to me :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Five weeks and counting April 29, 2013

I have some sad news, Sister parsons the new ASL sister that Sister smith was training went home this past week because of medical problems :( and so sister smith is going to finish training sister smack and sister tagge and i are companions once again!!! and we are on fire!!!!!

 

So, sister Tagge and i will be together for a total of 7 1/2 months... that is not normal!!! but i am very happy to be with her!!! she is my best friends and we work so well together!!! I just love her so much!!! i will need her this last transfer.... we are going on SEVEN!!! exchanges and that will be very interesting... so pray for us!!!

 

Sister Tagge and I met a new Deaf Couple... Chi and Dung, they are both Vietnamese and are so fun and warm!!!! we love them so much already!!! and they love us too!!! i am so excited to be teaching them, it is different because they are Buddhist and don't really know who heavenly father is and who Jesus Christ is, so it is fun to teach them... and they cant read and they cant write, but they can sign some... but we have fun with pictures and drawing  them too!!! :)

 

So, Sister Tagge and I have decided that we are the new Sister Assistants to the President... we do so much now... and we do so much with the sisters now... we just think its funny!!! :)

 

I miss not being with sister smack, but it is nice that i don't fell guilty when i have real food and not just a small spinach salad...and that i can eat sugar and not feel guilty either... but i really do miss being with her!!! :(

 

Yesterday... well President Bowen came to our sacrament meeting and anything that could go wrong did go wrong... our branch president wasn't there he was out of town, our normal members didn't show up and we had all our crazy ones there... Our high priest group leader sat on the stand and during the sacrament stood up and yelled in his deaf voice for every one to be quiet and to pay attention, it was a very interesting sacrament meeting... to say the least but now President will know what we deal with... :) 

 

 I am so thankful for the family that heavenly father has given me and the support that they give!!!! i see people everyday that have not been as blessed has i have been!! and i am truly thankful for all of you!!!! I love you all so very much and for everything that you do for me!!! I know that Heavenly Father really is watching out for you while i am away!!!!  I love you all so very much!!!!!

4/22/2013

This past week went by way toooooo fast!!! i can hardly believe that it is monday again!!! wow and now it is the start of my last transfer so now i only have 6 weeks left and so much will happen during that time!!! I plan on "not counting the days but making the days count" :)

Thats cool to hear that the other miller boy is going to Long Beach... that is our neighbor mission so that is cool! :) what else is happening in the ward are there any more missionaries going out??

 

so my week started out with an exchange, that was so much fun!!! we did so much work!! we street contacted people and had 8 lessons total it was an amazing day!!! and the time flew by so fast but i was happy cause i was able to get a neckless for sister smack... it is her birthday this sunday and she turns 20... that is crazy to think what i was doing at that time in my life... intersting

 

Poor cali being sick.. i hope she is feeling better!!! it is no fun to be sick at alll!!! i just hate it when i am sick i think i just turn into a big baby and i dont want to do anything and then i feel sorry for everyone around me... i think i will try to work on that!!!

 

So for transfers.... i have a new companion.... well she is rather old...but ... sister tagge is my companion again and i am so excited to have her... we are a trio and so i think it will be fun... and i also think that the time will pass by alot faster with her has my companion... we are going to have so much fun!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

 

So yesterday for sister smacks birthday we threw a suprise birthday party  and that was supper hard for me to do... i have the hardest time keeping secerts... and so i was very pleased with myself when i was able to keep it a secert :) and we had so much fun!!! we has a bbq and the food was so good and we just sat around chatting with everyone it was amazing!!! and it was in both asl and in english and it was funny to watch everyone!!! we all loved it!! :)

 

For sister smacks birthday a member is having us over for dinner and all the missionaries so that will be fun, and i guess our recent convert natalie will be there and she wants it to be a lot of fun for sis smack with balloons and all sooo we shall see what happens!! :)

Well, so this past week, has felt supper short since last writing to you....

we had a baptism and some amazing adventures...

SO we went to a deaf event at a mall here and i am so thankful that a have a drop dead beautiful companion... all the deaf want to talk to her so it really nice trying to contact them.. :) but... it gets intersting when they start hitting on us... and not just sis smack me too... so that was the highlight of my friday night i got hit on by some deaf college guys... not worth it... 

 

then i went on exchanges with some sister that are serving in Anaheim hills... wow are those people rich!!! but it was fun we went on a hike that morning and i am still feeling it in my caves today... :( ... but we had fun tracting and meeting different people... i love missionary work!!! :) it is so much fun all day long all we do is going around talking to random people about jesus!!! and we feel amazing!!! :) 

 

Then on sunday we had natalies baptism, she was so ready for that day, she went up and gave her testimony afterwards and it was, so powerful and she has told us serval times that she too wants to go on a mission and teach people about jesus, i love her so much she is just amamzing!!! :) 

 

This week i got some letters, one from Jason Miller, and one form Jon, he is doing good in hawaii :)  I love when i get letters :) 

 

That is crazy that it is snowing today, it is raining here and it is chilly to me, but way cold to others... i hope it melts soon for you all!! 

 

I am happy mom that you are going to the doctor when ever you are sick that is what they are for!!!  and what happens if the one doctor doesnt clear you for surgry??? what does that mean??? 

 

This week should be fun!!!! we plan on visiting as many deaf people as we can this week and to try and get a lot more investigators!!! :) we will be super busy and sis smack wants to meet all the deaf people i know before i leave so she can have an in... :) :) :) :) :) 

 

if you couldnt tell i am trying to make my letter as along as possiable so yall will be happy... but sometimes i run out of things to say... ummm

 

will for personal study i am in the old testments and i am now more than half way through and i have a goal to finish it before i go home i know i can make it!!! 

 

next week is transfers so we will see if i stay in the deaf branch for my last transfer or not... pray that i will!!! :) 

 

so, a crazy story, that just shows what a sad world this is... we found out yesterday that a girl that we have baptized recently is/was now a stripper... i just want to cry for her... she is only 16 and it is so sad, just pray that she can find a job!!! i will tell you more on mothers day...

 

I love you all and i am so happy to be a missionary it is so much fun!! :)
