Happy new year one and all! Three weeks done already. The first week was a trip to the warmth of Florida for Chad and I. It actually ewasn't as warm as I would have liked, especially in the evenings, but a couple of nice afternoons by the pool and some scary roller coaster rides were good for us. Connor got completely spoiled and gave great joy to his Nana and Papa for that week. I'm pretty sure he likes being the center of the world.
Then back to school for me, back to daycare for Connor and back to work for Chad. Having a deadline to get up again was a little tough for Connor and tried the patience of both Chad and I last week. The waking up, not too tough, the getting dressed and out the door has been a trial a few times. Two year olds are strong, and loud, in case you didn't know.
Today I stayed home from work though, Connor came down with a fever last night. You could physically see the instant it happened. One minute he was packing away tacos at the dinner table, and the next he wasn't quite feeling himself. Thankfully ibuprofen is working, but every 6 hours it wears off and that fever comes back. He isn't feeling the effects too badly though. We took it easy for a couple of hours, and then he was a busy boy. Busy telling me what he wanted to do next! I want to play with trains, I want to play the guitar, push me in the stroller, I want to ride my bike, I want to... You get the picture. Love this kid.
So, I have wasted nap time on the computer updating facebook pictures and now posting on the blog. It's relaxing for me, but perhaps I should have napped, since I got up at 6 to go to school and make sub plans. Well, off to the couch now, let's see how much longer I've got! :)
