As if fate’s in charge,
As if you’ve no choice
As if ‘life’ …live it large.
Every decision made,
every action completed,
Is it all for naught?
If so,
are we somewhat depleted?

In the hands of Fate….Déjà vu, .., … whichever, ….there must be free choice surely? … or not? …✨
Swirls within whirls of time and space
belie the eye, without a face.
Connection adrift, attention held
past and present begin to meld.
Mesmerised, whilst lost in thought
don’t tarry at all, lest you be caught.

A Dream, I remember,
It seems ages ago.
A large attic, ghostly figures
where time ran so slow.
A feeling of tension
as attuned to their fate,
of rebirth or passing on,
some hovered in wait.
Maybe I was the ghost,
set apart from the scene,
as they faded away
leaving me alone, in my dream.

I did dream about The Attic, a few times, …strangely not a nightmare, …just accepting, ….✨
As the
world turns,
your heart yearns
for life to be better
free from the fetter
of your dreams in the night
when Morpheus holds tight.
By simply letting go, you finally know,
you can awake and forsake
thoughts ever churning
as the World
continues
its turning.

Misty clouds descend
marking greyness overall,
sharing a deathly chill
nature’s dampening call.
She oft’ leaves her mark
without concern or care
to those who would linger,
dangerous climes, …so beware!!

old friend,
as Father-Time marches on,
a fresh Dawn beckons,
your reign, it is done.
This New Year cometh,
proclaiming overall,
good health, love and laughter,

Christmas
to me,
means
a time to reflect,
giving a reminder not to neglect,
close family and friends who mean so much
who surround us with love enabling us to touch
the true meaning of Christmas, sharing and giving
not counting our gifts, making sure we’re living
our life as is meant, trying so hard to obtain
Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Everyone,
may that message remain…

Gazing at you,
scanning your face,
then our eyes meet,
locked in place.
Holding fast, duelling together.
Reflecting times,
staring in the mirror.

stare eye to eye,
every day, putting on
make-up, nothing to say,
a reflection looks back,
’tis my face I know, sometimes
a connection, a smile starts to grow,
but at others there’s nothing
eyes meet with lips pursed
you’re me, as I’m you but
who’ll look away
first?

The
days progress,
the time is now
to show yourself
you can cope,
somehow.
Emotions whirl,
you quell the fear,
cause and effect,
decisions aren’t clear.
What’s in store?
Do we ever know?
Facing ever forward,
we choose the way to go.
