The sweetest memories to be remembered in 2019. Such a blessing! I have passed my PhD viva. I have been holding this nervous moment since 6th September 2016. It was never an easy path but in the end it is worth. May this humble success motivates others in seeking knowledge. Follow your heart and achieve your goals. Nobody can stop you.

Happy New Year 2018.

I have just submitted a book chapter title “Innovative science laboratories teaching in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. Since the Fourth Industrial Revolution(4IR) is still new, I took some time to read and understand the concept. I took nearly three weeks to write this book chapter. Being a science educator, I have got to relate science teaching with 4IR.

First week was just to read, conceptualize and construct the subtopics.

Second week was the time to write. Critically thought about the content, the language and the flow of thoughts.

Third week was to make corrections and amendments after getting the comments from my supervisor.

After several and thorough corrections, I finally submitted my book chapter last night, 10.30 pm.

Thanks God, I managed to complete the task & have learnt a kot from it.

Hope that my draft will be accepted and receive minor comments from Editorial Team.

Never wait for perfection. You will never do anything if you wait it achieves perfection.

Till we meet again, have a blessed year ahead.

Hope everyone is in good health.

As a PhD student, it is expected for me to present paper at conference. Gain experience, share our findings with other researchers and listen to other researchers’ findings. I presented a paper on Digital Age Literacy Proficiency Among Science Preparatory Course Students. This was my first time presented paper at an international conference. Quite nervous but thanks God my presentation was smooth and I could answer the questions thrown by the audience. You must really know your content and your audience.

I passed my PhD proposal defence last saturday, September 30th, 2017. Allah has helped me along the journey. He made it easier for me. I presented just for 15 minutes. There were no questions from audience. This  may due to my slot was too early in the morning which was at 8.30am. My examiner also could not make it but he had prepared the report. The chair person read up the report. All criteria were good. Candidate passed & could proceed with her research. Only one improvemnt to be done on how cann data log help in science inquiry. I will look through on his comment & discuss with my supervisor tomorrow.

It was such a relief for a PhD candidate to have passed this stage. Alhamduliillah. Moving on to the next stage.

Dear all,

Yesterday I had a mock proposal defence with my PhD friends at postgraduate discussion room. They turned up to listen and gave feedback to my presentation. There were Farihah, Fatahiyah. Zalifah, Baizura, Azlin, Aziah, Miza & Sri. Thanks God for the experience &  giving me a bunch of good friends who always support me.

Hope I can do better during my real proposal defence on 30th Sept 2017.

Stay calm. Keep moving on. Hold the battle until the finish line.
