This new short video collaboration between Retro Report and Reveal illustrates how a 1964 disagreement over which nation’s flag to fly in the Panama Canal Zone damaged diplomatic ties between Panama and the U.S., and eventually led to a treaty that transferred control of the canal to Panama.
