I just really wanted to use my wings too. I don’t mog them half enough. I love them but they still clip into most shoulders and i do usually like seeing my bow on my back when i’m not in a fight.
Two other sets i’ve played with recently are for a friend. he wanted help making a white set and like. there is basically no white mail armor.
Not sure what i think of it, it all works. mostly. just kinda. something.

I don’t think i’ve posted this one? i looked in my media and didn’t it. purple! silver! lightning flashes. it good. and then i made an another version that just uses the left shoulder of Erupting Mantle, because i have a thing for small and subtle shoulder armor.
I would kill for the Sprite Darter Shoulders sans the wing. the shape is so nice. and shiny.
but like, i’ve been beyond lazy with alts so far in Shadowlands. mostly because there is always a key or raid or mog to farm on my hunter. Makes it hard for me to devote the time my druid deserves to her. Did i mention the mog i could be farming? 8/10 on rank 5 Path of Ascension Rhuan! 2 more fights till the fight that will reward me wings and that is obviously what matters.
But i derailed, this post is about my druid!
When pre-patch first hit i went through a lot of my toons and changed up their looks. so many excellent possibilities. My druid i decided to go warm colors, a warm kinda red skin and the new orange hair. it was cool and all but i have changed it. because hot damn. Dark hair, darker skin? amazing.
This is old Ilona, she cute and all and then new Ilona was neat.
But this is obviously the superior Ilona.

every couple years i say ill learn how to take an interesting screenshot and i mean it, but it didnt happen magically this time either. but she so pretty! and i love both of these sets so much. Not new at all but hey. pretty is forever.
but i made a set with the tabard and my brain went immediately to the bad joke that my hunter just wants to look like a zealot sometimes. which. thanks brain. good thought that. the in-game horrible zealots is the Scarlet Crusade anyhow!
This is also 100% about getting to use one of the cowl helmets again. And yet another mog where i wear the Greenhorn’s Footguards because i can. Boots don’t have to be matchy! they can just be brown leather looking boots with the gold right?

With bonus Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury. for reasons. which are that i love it. and its super super gaudy when you cast Rapid Fire with it. Admittedly the pants have that weird like, booty shorts line. but thats because without a tabard they are a skort. which. no thank you. it would have to be longer to be fun, like the raid set. the super short one is just eh.
And then i got on a cowl kick, as one does. This set has too many colors. by like, a lot.
Red! gold! black!.. brown? But it mostly ties together in some way. the most offset color is honestly the glove part of the gloves being brown, but i didn’t want the bright red metal on the mythic and the heroic gold is too quiet. slightly weird gloves will work.
Not a new set, just admiring the dark hair and darker skin. i love her. One of those sets where im happy that blizzart has a habit of repeating colors throughout expacs. The pants and gloves have something like 8 years between their creation and yet, the colors are perfect. Thank you multiple difficulty raids.

I very much have been pushing my Path of Ascension in the Kyrian Covenant (1 weeks to go for rank 5!). Very much because of mog and mounts. This beautiful unicorn is the Dauntless Duskrunner. Yes yes, another purple unicorn, but this one didn’t involve a maze. i just had to beat things up. carefully.
And for bonus points my mog matches! with the only belltop boots in game i like. I really like the purple Sprite Darter mog pants a silly amount. It’s just a nice purple and i like the seams on them.

So, the boots only look like that for mail and probably cloth and leather? for plate toons they are actually boots not slippers, and not all black. its so weird and sad. Blizz why do this thing to me, my warrior wants slippers too.
i feel a need to show off all those fancy new unicorns of the Shadowlands, but to do that i need new mogs, if only to stay on theme. Which is mostly all that i’ve been doing when i can’t bring myself find more of that sweet sweet anima.

Brand new and shiny! Purple gold and blue! The only piece i’m not really sure on is the shoulders, the brown fill is a little off. My pickiness is never ending; I want like, purple and gold.
i am very excited for the curved halos and sigils for Kyrian. I think the curve looked more dynamic in the previews, all sorts of pretty. hopefully night fae wings get shaped too, for my druid.
Okay, so saying this one matches is more technically true than like, the real driving motivation for its creation. that is owed to the fact that i really do just god damn love the Greenhorn’s Footguards. some of the most worth it pvp i’ve ever done. they only dropped in the 15-39 bracket battleground reward cache, when that bracket existed. i am very unsure where the ‘rookie’ sets drop now, level wise. I should do research on that. My druid still needs some pieces of it, they are recolors/completions of cata questing sets.
Sundancer! this mount is obtainable once you reach rank 3 of Path of Ascension and can craft Skystrider Glider. Okay, an aside, using the glider with the buff you need to catch Sundancer is amazing. An Ascended gives you a piggyback ride instead of it giving you wings like it does anywhere else you use it.

Greenhorn’s Footguards are my truest mog love. I might also have a thing for the new crafted shoulders.
I have a thing for the Argent Crusade Tabard honestly. It’s also the one i always wear and mog with. I need one on because i definitely don’t have the bag space to store one for when the impulse hits to mog with a tabard, it might as well be my tabard that doubles as a teleport!
And now, to keep ignoring my poor beautiful druid. she looks so good. next time!
The thing with boots is i hate.. so many of them. So many. It is me being very picky, i’ll own up to that. But mog is life so. Whine and dislike i will!
Listen, i hate them. the one pair has bonus skulls to make it even worse, but its the shape of the boots. Rhuan has lovely legs, why cover my calves with such big, bulky goop. And this wouldn’t matter, cause i wouldn’t need these tall boots if blizz didn’t also make short pants. It’s a very rude combination.
The belltops also clip each other! dammit.
Like, its so bright! and vibrant and ridiculous in fun ways with the jaw bone and the teeth on my pants, but i can’t handle the belltops. Maybe they wouldn’t bother me so much if the top of the bell wasn’t right on the kneecap.

She is watching you! Of course, it turns out i don’t have the belt, which is tragic. I am tempted to go run all the Tomb of Sargeras’ LFRs and murder the trash. Honestly though, this is mostly a set i wouldn’t wear for more than an hour. the idea of it is fun, but the helmet is very…helmet (and its not quite the same silver, its blued). It’s one that makes me want to use a cape, but the wings are the cape. Conundrum.
I could post so many boots i dislike and so many sets that need tall boots. But i shall keep my whining to 2 sets.
I am in love with the new zone leveling sets for mail armor. Or at least the helms. The pants with their little skorts annoy me, but that’s nitpicky of me. I like the butts okay, no shame here. mostly.
