Robin Hobb's Infrequent and Off Topic Blog

Signed Robin Hobb Books

King Shrewd puts a pin on young Fitz

For many years, I would make the trek from Roy to Seattle to visit Duane at University Book Store.  Duane would have all the special order books ready for signing.  We'd talk books and maybe go to lunch and it was always a wonderful break from my regular routine.

But sadly Duane is no longer there, and the traffic between Roy and Seattle can make what used to be a 40 minute drive into a three hour trudge.  So I had to give that up.  No more fun.

I still received many requests from readers for signed books.

Now my friend Shawn Speakman has stepped up to fill the gap.  He has long had a site called The Signed Page, featuring autographed books from many fantasy and SF authors.  Terry Brooks!  Matt Dinniman!  Travis Baldree!  Pierce Brown!   But you don't have to just read this teaser..  Go to The Signed Page to find those treasures.

AND there is a Robin Hobb Store there, where readers can request signed copies of my books as well.  The Robin Hobb Store

As you may imagine, that definitley gets my new year off to a wonderful start.

Happy New Year!

THAT'S NOT FROM ME!

A friend on Blue Sky social media received an email from Robinhobb14  (gmail)

That is NOT me. Please do not be tricked.  No idea what that person wants or why they are spoofing me, but that's not me.  Ignore. Delete.

Grity City Comic Show November 15 Tacoma Convention CenterG

Cover of the Dark Horse comic, volume 2  Assassin's Apprentice.  A boyish Fitz looks toward the sky while mounted on a dapple grey horse.

Grit City Comic Show in Tacoma, Washington is nearly here!

This one day comic show in Tacoma is one of my most favorite conventions.  Small it may be but it's affordable, great for families and showcases  a lot of local talent in the Artists Alley.

The comic book creators attending include Ibrahim Moustafa, Rick Hoberg, Jason Metcalf, Melanie Kohn, Dev Madan, Sean Dietrich, Shane Patrick White, Greg K Smith, Michael Tanner and Justin Hunt.

There will be plenty of comics to browse as well as other merchandise, a large Lego display and vehicles honoring Baby (from Supernatural) and K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider.

The Gaming Area includes Pathfinder and Starfinder.  All players, new and experienced, are welcome.

A wide variety of Vendors and Cosplayers will be there, including Garrison Titan 501st Legion (Star Wars), Mando Mercs: Gurreck Clan (Mandalorian) and 405th Infantry Division, Halo Cosplay Group.

And I will be there, at a table, with some Hobb books and Dark Horse comics of Assassin's Apprentice.  Come by and say Hi!
