Little Munchkins

Little Munchkin Zoe is just so much fun! She's running around in the house trying to get into stuff she's not supposed to and also plays with the stuff she's supposed to play with :). She loves her new kitchen and is crazy about her daddy... she's following him everywhere.

She's so creative!!! It's really a joy watching her and she cares for her brother so much, it's just the cutest thing ever.

Today we're going to celebrate New Year's Eve with our neighbor Jen (my midwife). They invited us to their 7th annual New Year's Bash, very exciting how it'll be... I'm already pretty tired though... during nap time I prepared all these meatballs for the party, one German recipe "meatballs in Bacon" and then an italian recipe "meatballs" but I left out the mushrooms that were in the recipe... they taste sooo delicious! I ate already a few *lol*... hope they'll make it till tonight. Good thing, there are onions in it so Frank won't eat them so they're semi-safe here *lol*

Henry is already following his sisters footsteps by cuddleing with his bibb. Zoe goes to sleep with her bibb and pacifier (Schnuller)... while Henry is still easy going and sometimes doesn't even need a paci!

Wish everybody a great party tonight... have a safe and sound transition into 2012! Another year has past by... it always goes so fast :(...

Christmas Day

After a few hours the kitchen was put together and Zoe loves it! Specially the phone!!! That woman is on the phone too often... little walky talky :)

We had a neighbor over for brunch and the rest of the day we spent as a family. I needed to do something so I was very glad that I had this little kitchen that needed a little brain to be put together and I loved it :)

Christmas with kids is so much fun :)... Frank and Zoe are busy putting the train track together now and then they'll do the kitchen... I would say they'll be pretty busy for the rest of the day :)... awesome Christmas

So I finally got my vacuum cleaner cleaned ;)... and now it's running again... Zoe loves it and can take it apart by herself!!!!

The Turkey turned out awesome! It was so delicious and juicy

We had mashed potatoes with it, red cabbage, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, sweet potatoes with and without Marshmellows... JAMMI, oh and green beans *lol*... almost forgot them (... in the steamer).

Zoe went right ahead and ate very good. The turkey took very long but it was very very delicious I tell you :)... can't wait to eat the leftovers.

Frank and I have some problems on when Santa comes! He wants him to come overnight I wanted him to have come yesterday... well I gave her a few gifts already yesterday and she loved it... she wanted to get more *lol*... today is the rest of the gifts under the tree and I have to wake up Frank before Zoe gets up because he wants to be there when Zoe sees it :)... that's pretty cool.

Heilig Abend - Turkey prep

This was fun... I was preparing the turkey while chatting with Jela and Fabian who were cooking at the same time...

Baby Caleb Clifford

As you may know my friends' baby Caleb who turns one on Dec 27th is in 'Intensive Care Unit' in the hospital. I was going to raise some donations for her since her husband was in a car accident on the way to the hospital when Caleb got admitted (eingeliefert). He actually was at the doctor and he/she called 911 to get an ambulance driving them to the hospital since Caleb wasn't getting enough oxygen breathing by himself anymore... 

Long story short, he was sedated (schlafend gelegt) and had tubes for feeding/ breathing etc. in him and was just laying down / tied to the bed for almost a week. He finally got ex-tubated (Tuben entfernt) yesterday morning I think and the medication is slowly weaning of. They might send him out (of the ICU) to the floor (normal hospital) for recovery so if they're very lucky he can go home on Christmas Day (1. Weihnachtstag) but that's still in the cards... 

Anyways... the car got totaled and now on top of all the hospital bills they need an additional car as well... so I wanted to start a donation but after I asked Lindsey she wouldn't take the offer. So many people are supporting her with notes/ gifts/ cards... so I was going to drop it but I got approached by my neighbor who asked me if I know this girl (he read about the whole story on my Facebook) and he said he wants to donate 500$ to start the donation off and get people motivated to donate. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the email so I again... didn't know what to do and checked with the other mom's in the group what I should do and now we decided to do something in the background so people who want to donate something can do so.

I probably wouldn't be so sentimental about it if I wouldn't have gone through the Special Care Unit experience with Henry! But since I've been through that and that was ONLY SCU with a HEALTHY baby!!! Caleb had bronchitis with pneumonia and a virus or something...  I cannot imagine... so I'm very very very happy to see him progressing well and hopefully he'll be home at least by his birthday. We'll celebrate his 1st birthday on January, 7th and man are we gonna celebrate that birthday :)... I bet you that it'll be the party of the year :).

So our daughter demands her brother now!!! *lol*... she puts her bibb (spucktuch) very nicely placed on a place and wants me to put Henry on it like she does with her teddy and doll as well, she's just amazingly great this little girl

And today again, she put down a matt for Henry on the floor and demanded that I put him next to her, sneaky little girl :)

I added another addition to the play room :), the moment I saw this, I had to buy it!!! It just fits amazingly good
