“Yet subtly kindling elementary concepts such as resilience.”

Makena stood beside, the chiefly gray cactus, green with envy of the eczema-ridden plant. Even in this compelling moment, it stood tall and hydrated but more importantly home. However, not for long.

She squinted instinctively. Nothing in sight, not a soul nor a sound, just enchanting mirages. The desert just sat there, the sun-glare saturating her eyes. It was sweltering, she could feel her skin crack just looking at it.

The only distraction was an exciting glisten here and there in the pale silky sandy waves. She mused as she plot her next move and gazed intoxicated by wonder, of what lay behind the dunes. What dangers lurked beyond?

She held her chin in a contemplating mood. Despite the predicament, her heart stood still contrasting the intensity with which the sunbeams fell on the cactus. Yet subtly kindling elementary concepts such as resilience.

Makena just had to make a decision about this void. She could use a sign on which way to go. She lightly chewed on her nail. Time was a factor she needed to consider as night would fall soon. She breathed deeply and concentrated into the distance.

The monumental scale of the desert served in a lure of witchery brush strokes provoked a crescendo. Her chest surged with blood imbuing her with anemoia. Overwhelmed she turned to Gacururiga.

“I love this. I will take it.”

“Are you sure?” Gacururiga asked.

“It resonates.” She said.
