Welcome to Sheldon-Hess.org

We're a small organization. And not especially organized. Here's the run-down:

Coral

Coral started their professional life as an electrical engineer, moved into librarianship and web development, moved from there into data analytics and teaching, and has moved back into librarianship and web development. Their interests include birds, coffee, crafting, gardening, bicycling, cozy video games, and reading.

Dale

Dale's an electrical engineer by education and a software engineer by trade. His interests include video games (hit him up if you want to play Destiny 2), election reform, and learning new math and science facts.

The birds

The avian members of the Sheldon-Hess household include two cockatiels, Pumpkin (💛, hatched in August 2021) and Phoebe (🩶, hatched probably late 2006), and two parakeets, Hermann (💙) and Newton (💚) (yes, named after the scientists in Pacific Rim; probably hatched in 2023?). The cockatiels are tame, though Phoebe is a cranky old man. The parakeets are ... still learning to trust humans, though millet definitely helps. The birds don't read email, though Pumpkin has been known to make edits to other people's messages.

A sweet, sleeping old man cockatiel, all greys and whites. A very pretty young cockatiel, all white and yellow with orange cheek spots. Two parakeets, a blue one staring suspiciously at the camera while a green one stretches his neck out to eat from a bowl.
