I have travelled quite a bit in my lifetime and, despite expectations to slow down, I still do. The Covid pandemic had shackled me in that period but soon after I was able to visit Sicily and UK, though the Sicilian trip at the end of 2022, to celebrate my mother’s 95th birthday. This gave rise to another story that I shall publish in due course.
When travelling I try to record my experiences of the food, drink, sights and sounds in the form of photographs, sketches, written notes and the occasional story that I shall publish here. Please also note that my travels are not for the purpose of writing this blog, but my blog is written as a result of my travels … to visit my family and, in the past now, to work.
Some of my photos are sold on Alamy, some (art) photos and paintings are placed for sale with an online gallery, and some written work ends up in magazine articles or in books.
Now, at the beginning of 2025, having spent 2023 and 2024 undertaking administrative work, I have re-organised my plans and will be making better use of Shoot Stories.
