Other life….discovered?
March 8, 2008So, I was talking about the universe to some friends earlier, and we got into the news that astronomers have found planets everywhere that may support life. Then we got into another topic. We haven’t discovered more life…but have they discovered us?
Ever since prehistoric times-cavemen drew pictures of these-people have claimed to see spacecrafts soaring through the skies. We are not alone. You can’t say, that out of the zillions…no not zillions…Gabazillions of stars and galaxies and planets in this never-ending-expanding universe, that there is no other life form on another planet….thinking the same thing we scientists wonder. Is there life somewhere else?
There is.
When we find them…how will we evolve?
There is so much we have yet to learn. When we do, how will we use this infinte knowledge?

Shurty Chatter Awards
March 3, 2008I know that some of you were actually looking forward to these, and I definitely was, but unfortunately, I don’t know if there are enough regulars to actually hold them, or if so, not with nearly as many votes and categories as last time 😦

January 16, 2008I think this title is WAYYYY too far from anybody’s theories! But it just makes me more anxious to see why brisingr is so important in the third book! OMG…WHY MUST it be released in SEPTEMBER!!! lol

As we start the new year…
January 14, 2008Well, there has been a lot of moving around and changes in the Shurty mods, if no one noticed.
Hopefully this won’t change again, though it seems to change a lot, here is the list of our mods, and a couple of comments, as we begin the new year ^___^
Let’s make it a fun and interesting year…..or some other random generic welcome to the year… >_>
Root Administrators:
Parker- Parker’s here as always, idling around and scaring us with the occasional greeting 😀
Bob- After a long, long, long absence, Bob is back and…doing……something 
Jamie- Nothing more needs to be said, you either know who she is or you fail
Network Administrators:
Jon- We don’t know where he is, we don’t know when he will drop in again, but we hope it will be soon XD
Jennifer- I’d feel really weird commenting on myself, so I won’t >_>
Services Administrators:
Austin- Another one of our stoic, silent, mods…yeah… Good luck in your new job (real life job :O)
Global Moderators:
Hartanna- Hart! Everyone has fun talking to Hart, and the room is always more busy and fun 🙂
Fiasha- Our resident skittle lover! The room is more friendly with Fia around 😀
Airlaith- Aiiir, who taught me how to do actions when I first came on >____> Everyone is friends with Air 🙂 (or else)
Becky- Becky Becky Becky, always in denial of her right to be mod, silly…
Paul- You can never tell when Paul is being serious, but conversations with him can get really amusing 😀 (and slightly scary)
Core- Core. You either like him or hate his guts, and he prefers it that way, I think….

2008 is coming…
December 29, 2007So many great events are happening next year. This will be the year of the new. Something for everyone.
In Science News- The internation space station shall be complete, and orbiting Earth with every equipment it takes. The space shuttle will be replaced with a new machine, that takes less fuel than we use up each year with every flight. The third mars rover will land on Mars as well!
In Readers News-The Third book to the Inheritance Trilogy shall be released. Dan Brown’s next novel, The Solomon Key will also be released. As for Harry Potter…he’s over.
The Ecological News-Gas in automobiles may be replaced with nitrogen, ending the ever-lasting gas prices, and a renewable fuel for future generations. Scientists will finally realize that global warming is upon us, and they will (hopefully) start to reverse the process.
In Cisco’s News-I MIGHT FINALLY FIND A PUBLISHER FOR MY NOVELS!! =D
In Political News-They all continue to have big brains, yet cannot figure out the simplest things. Still no woman running for president…or a black man for that matter. We can only wait and hope that our next president…will be better than Bush.
In Other News-Bill Gates may retire! The Burj Dubai (the next tallest building in the world) may be complete in construction near the end of the year.
Its very strange that Dubai has all this money for attractions, like “the World” islands, this large tower, “the Palm”, all that crap. Yet…there are still those who are hungry.

The Return of Stephanie

Steph, a very much missed retired mod, has returned!! It is with great happiness that we welcome her back to Shur`tugal as a mod again! (as reluctant as she was)
