Sim Star Idol is a reality show for sims. Its the dream of many sims to become famous. What better way to get your name out there than by competing for the title of Sim Star? Sim Star Idol is a reality competition to determine who has what it takes to make it as a celebrity. The winner of the competition will not only earn the coveted title of Sim Star, the beautiful Sim Star trophy and a car, they’ll also get to tour around Starlight Shores, playing in some of the most influential bars, clubs and stadiums! [Note: This is a fun interactive story. It’ll be written in blog form. The simmers who enter will be involved with the competition, meaning it all won’t be coming from my head. Your creations will come to life with your creativity as well as mine. Also, there are no real prizes, sorry!]
The show will be completed as follows: [Please note, these are season 1 rules. Season 2 will be conducted differently)
There are four mentors (see Meet the Mentors) each paired up with two contestants. The contestant will send in their sim with a short bio and which mentor they have chosen. Once all contestants are chosen and secure, the challenge will begin. The eight contestants will live in the same house and the mentors will live in a separate house on the same lot. [I have chosen a 64×64 lot in Starlight Shores]. There are two challenges a week, the mentor challenge and the elimination challenge.
The mentor challenge:
Each mentor “chooses” their own challenge for their two contestants to compete in. The challenge will either be determined by how well a sim fares in game (for example, a hot dog eating contest) or by a dice roll (see below for details). The winner of the two will be exempt from elimination. The loser will then have to compete in the elimination challenge.
The elimination challenge:
The four sims in the elimination challenge will compete in a challenge. The winner is determined in the same way as the mentor challenge. The two lowest scoring will be sent to the bottom two and then a poll will open to determine who should go home. The poll is voted on by you the reader.
Dice Rolls:
Sometimes a challenge will be created to correspond with the story line of the show. These that cannot be done in game by the sim will be determined by dice rolls. In this case the sim will be posed for a picture and a dice roll will determine how well they do.
- One: Terrible
- Two: Not so good.
- Three: Decent.
- Four: Good
- Five: Close to Perfect, one or two mistakes
- Six: Highest. Perfection.
These will be virtually the same for each challenge they are involved with, give or take a few minor details. Head on over to the contestants page to submit a sim or read more about our current contestants!
