Hello! Welcome back! Last time we welcomed Penny Woodward to the family and oversaw Laurel and Lucy grow up to kids.. and Brianna left us for good. What good things will happen to the Woodwards in this chapter?

First of, within two hours Birdie maxed both research and debate and flower arrangement skills. Thank goodness, as I was getting sick of the flower arrangement skill.

Athena goes to age up her granddaughter as the right of the matriarch of the family (Opal and Fi were busy lol)

Wow. Penny looks so adorable in this pink onesie made by grandma Athena.

Grandma and.. granddaughter. Oh and Penny will also be our Bad Apple for the gen. I almost regret it looking at her cuteness, but hey.

We leave Penny alone for an hour and this is what she’s doing.. I guess we’re dealing with a troublemaker. Penny is inquisitive.

Since I don’t want there to be as huge age-gap between Penny and baby R, as there is between the twins and Penny.

And then this heart-wrenching thing happens! No!

You deserve better than dying in your granddaughter’s paints..

… I accidentally had Birdie wail for her mamas death, and the Grim listened. Oops. I was actually ready for Athena to go, lol. She’s lived for so long.

One of them comes home with a B.. can’t remember which sadface it was.

This glitch keeps happen and ugh.

Laurel listens intently to her dead grandmother. Also note the clay of lumps.. those clays are the bane of my life in this save. They’re spawning no matter what I do, ugh.

Athena has mostly knitted in her chair upstairs, but I love this place for her outside in the sunshine.

Since we can’t control Penny, we attempt to teach her a few things.. but it looks like Birdie should rather have given her a bath.

And then it happens again.. but at least it’s in the family room this time.

While Athena’s granddaughters and daughter-in-law came grieving, wanna know what the actual daughters were doing?

Birdie was mourning her other mother, come on B.

But Athena went with no fuss.. and I didn’t know spellcasters got their own kind of grave. But we’ll say goodbye to the best founder ever. You were a superstar and an amazing mother, wife and grandmother.

And all three come upstairs to mourn Athena. It’s kinda sweet.

And then Fiorella makes this mad wish? What’s wrong with you Fi? This is your mother-in-law. Your mother-in-law who just died.

The twins continue to work hard.

I hadn’t really noticed that embarrassed Sims do this thing. Lol, like they almost want to die of shame I guess.

And then we reached the top of the culinary career! Yay!

She’s pregnant.. and joined the civil designer career. I wanted a career that kept her home, but eh. I’m also in the space where I’m debating whether or not to do non-BG aspirations as well, so I just went with civil designer. She doesn’t have time to be an actress.

Damn you, Octavia. Athena only needed ONE more grandchild to fullfil her Big Happy Family, and you know what? None of the other spares ever went so far to get kids.. did you like wait until Athena was dead or what?

I got the neighbours over after Athena’s death, and this is so sweet.

Laurel turns into a Bear. I have mixed feelings.

Opal still needs to finish one Nature Aspiration, and we try this again.

Yup, both twins are bears. Well it fits I guess. Lucy is the green one.

Oh, one good thing about this is it gives us incentive to max the fabricator skill.

And it’s birth time!!

And then Birdie finally maxes her career.. Guys you don’t know how awful it was. She was on the cusp of promotion.. and then she didn’t get promoted and I had to wait FIVE days until she went to work again.

She gets kicked out.. and we discover there’s a Kathleen Woodward? What?! Apparently it’s Oliver’s old wife. I missed it. Well, welcome to the fam Kathleen.

And theen Lucy maxed her first aspiration. Laurel has already maxed creative. She’s now also working on Whiz Kid.

The twins aged up.. and we got our first black-haired kid in the family! Aww, doesn’t Penny look ADORABLE.

Rafael is redhead like his other sisters. And just as sweet I think.

Brianna just acts like she hasn’t lived with her sister-in-law for several Sims years.

But on other news, our Bad Apple Penny turned into a child. An adorable child if I have to say so.

Welcome back! Last time a lot of things happened – but the most important thing was probably Athena finished all of her requirements and twins Laurel and Lucy were born.

Brianna only needs 3 dates, and considered we’ve picked Leinani to be Brianna’s wife, she’s our girl. They’re on a date here.

When Brianna gets home from work, she calls Leinani over for a date, and despite her Serial Romantic aspiration, this is the first time she woohoos.

I can’t stop myself from showing you guys these two being absolute cuties. I will be doing the Soulmate aspiration with these two.

Haven’t shown you guys many pics of the babies, because they’ve just been the usual nightmares. But it’s birthday time for our girls.

Birdie started flower arranging before Athena started knitting, but she’s still just like.. lvl 4 here? Would be faster if you could “practice”.

And then Athena somehow turns into a redhead? Again? She’s not cursed, but idk?

Two of three came home with a promotion: Opal and Birdie.

And then the grey returned. Idk, must have been a glitch.

And then we go for baby number 2. It’s time for our P baby to arrive.

It’s only Birdie who goes up to mourn Violeta. Seriously, I wonder what’s in her coding. Maybe free time? Idk, she does sometimes escape after finishing a flower arrangement without me noticing.

Despite looking stressed out, this time Fiorella managed a promotion.

We decide to go on our final date in the Serial Romantic aspiration with Leinani.

It goes well.

So well that Brianna proposes to Leilani in this.. darkness in Del Sol Valley.

Leilani said yes, and Brianna is relieved.. and Red Glasses is a fan of Brianna’s lmao. She’s a four-star fame. Guess that’s a memory to savor forever for Red Glasses.

And Serial Romantic is promptly done as well. They will have to wait to get married as Brianna still needs one more promotion, but then.

We continue working the toddlers, and then Laurel maxes all toddler skills, yay! So did Lucy.

Pregnancy is hard on Opal, I don’t think I ever announced it. But yeah, she’s pregnant.

Hey! Welcome to the second chapter of Opal’s rein. Last time we lost Violeta, but a lot of things happened, such as Oliver and Odette finally moving out of the house. Let’s see what will happen for the Woodwards in this chapter.

After maxing handiness, and considering Athena’s long life… she doesn’t get retirement, nope. She starts the vampire lore.

And while mentoring Birdie at chess, Athena maxes parenting.

After books and books.. Brianna FINALLY got three best-sellers in her last 7 books. Good girl! I was starting to despair, she’s been here since she was a teenager.

Turns out Birdie is the one who goes mostly upstairs to grieve Violeta’s death most. I don’t think I’ve even seen Athena or the others up here. Guess, Athena doesn’t really like to see the place she’ll be when she’s dead.

Despite the fact I have the three of them reading, fishing and writing a lot.. they do have time to spend together. Not much these days. I bet they miss the days when the kids were young. I didn’t force-feed them potions back then.

It’s Harvest Fest.. and Brianna and Athena are crowding Opal who’s doing the dinner. I would be snappy if my family stood like that around me in the kitchen.

Dinner time! Yup, Odette is back for the family event.

We send both Opal and Brianna here to meet 10 people for both Party Animal and Friend of the World aspirations. It goes splendid, though I don’t think I managed to get Opal to meet too many people, unlike Brianna.

And then Brianna gets her first kiss and boyfriend Fuifui.

Violeta! You’re back! And already breaking the bathroom by the look of it. This is also the place where she died.

I hadn’t been able to invite Fiorella, but that was why I had Opal meet people for her Party Animal aspiration.. but Fiorella moved to Strangeville, so we got her over to Sulani.

And quickly Opal manages to get a kiss from Fiorella.

It turns passionate rather quickly *ehem*.

And then Brianna gets a kiss from Fetia. Girlfriend #3.

Love is truly in the air, because back home Opal proposes to Fiorella.

They get married immediately, because I need them to start making babies. Opal is already halfway through her YA phase.

And then Fiorella gets magically a make-over. I really like her. Opal looks bowled over, lmao. Welcome to the family, Fiorella Díaz Woodward. Readers, she’s a loner, child of the island and neat. Perfect, huh.

And then Fiorella gets a job in the tech guru world. Man, Opal makes the best faces. She looks like “look at what I got” or something like that.

Fiorella starts immediately working.. and man it’s weird to have a non red-head in this family.

Brianna doesn’t look too impressed with Cannon (whom sister Opal knew and invited him over).. but she also had to go to work. We’ll invite him after she’s done.

While kissing Cannon, whom we invited over.. we got Leinani Kahananui over for a visit. Must be a neighbour.. but man she’s pretty, and is Brianna’s next target. Yup, it’s weird when she’s cheering them on.

After a shower, Opal and Fiorella spend some time together.

Since Brianna mostly knows teenagers, besides the family and romantic interests.. Opal invites Andrea to be a guinea pig for Brianna.

I haven’t mentioned it, because I somehow lost it – but Opal is pregnant. I didn’t catch it, but yeah. She’s in her first trimester here.

Brianna needs logic for her author job.. and man isn’t it nice to have a mom who’s maxed logic?

María is invited over, and another kiss is received.

And then! Birdie finally maxes the pipe organ!

I forgot to use to relic last time, because there was some crystal refinery and all that.. but she used it on the girl behind her with blonde dreads. Yazmin received an unexpected fortune. Aww, Athena was a fairy godmother.

It also means all goals are done. Athena can die without making me miss any points.

These two hug a lot! I like to think of it as “founder and heir” hugs. And also because Opal is pregnant.

I know I only get points for the BG aspirations, but since it took so little Athena has now maxed leader of the pack and both RoM aspirations. It’s mainly if I decide to try the non-BG aspirations in the future.

And then it’s time for Opal to give birth.

Hey! Welcome back! What already?

Well, we’re doing a double update today because I’m going on vacation tomorrow and won’t be back until August, and these posts need to be posted so I can count them for my SimNaNo count!

And we realize she needs to get started ASAP on one Nature Aspiration as required and we pick gardening.. and I need to make things prettier again here.

Damn. I haven’t touched this in ages, but just realized we’re gonna need potions, and then Opal got cursed.

But then my old lady came home with her final promotion! Yas, I was getting worried we’d not get her last promotion!

I’m sick of Opal’s curses, so she decides to practice for her spell, she need decursify. It takes her like 3-4 spells until she gets the one spell she wants.

Opal showcases her baking skills to baby sister. Octavia doesn’t look like she has anything nice to say lmao.

And then when Athena tried to decursifiy herself she got the stinky smelly curse. MAN! It takes 24 hours cooldown until she can retry, eh. Also this curse means she left water behind.. Dirty, green water.

Bought a bowling-lane so we can get the skill out of the way. Odette is just spending her time on various skills. This is her second skill (first was acting).

And then we max baking! Good girl, Opal! And apparently we’ve also gotten the Nerd Brain aspiration!

And I’m fairly sure this shot means Brianna maxed mixology, lol.

Sorry! Apparently I’m really lost the ability to take interesting shots. This means we’ve maxed gourmet cooking and bowling.

Odette starts DJing. Yes, I bought the fancy one. It was so pretty.

And after Athena’s second de-cursify, I found out you can buy a potion with your aspiration point.. how did I not know this. Oh well, we can use it now. Athena has like 27k points by now.’

We start wellness again, and while I didn’t get the show I know she maxed wellness.

Trying to get comedy done!

Proof that we’re doing Athena’s book.. a little late, but hey. She’s still alive.

Violeta doesn’t have many days left, but.. hopefully she can max this. But if she doesn’t, it’s fine. It’s just an attempt.

And I discover you can help! Alas, it doesn’t mean that Opal now know how to do the potion herself. That would have been so cool.

And then I get this super-cool chance-card, and given that nothing is against it.. I accept, and boom. We’ve maxed a new career.

And then Odette maxes DJing. Seriously she’s been doing nothing else and drinking potions constantly.. so yup.

We decide to go and try media production next.

NO! We needed more time.. although I knew she didn’t have it. Aww.

And then because I didn’t get rid of the hostile curse immediately after Athena got it again while making potions… She ends up in a fight with the Grim.

And she won! Oh, Athena is it really a good idea to antagonize the one guy who will eventually pick you up?

“It won’t be for a while. I will live a long life, you know.”

Still.. Oh, and we discovered that the Grim is evil.. not that it should be a surprise?

Since Violeta just needs a few hours to max the pipe organ, we had Athena ask.. but as you can see it didn’t work. Grim looks smug. I knew I should have had someone else ask – he despises Athena.

And with this, I make a place for Violeta. Thank you for being the best spouse ever. Even though you took a while to max the painting aspiration.

And in the midst of Violeta’s passing away, Octavia and Oliver turned YA. We kick Oliver and Odette out after this, as Odette had maxed the media production by now. I’ve missed the shot. Odette didn’t have anything to do, and.. as Bad Apple I didn’t need Oliver.

Life continues on though, as proved when Brianna maxes her mixology career. Now she just needs to finish three aspirations: the bestselling author one (she still needs writing 3 bestsellers..) and Friend of the World and Serial Romantic.

Oh and Athena also maxes one of the family aspirations – she only needed Birdie to max a career, and I remembered she had maxed her comedy career.. so! Athena also maxed the Public Enemy aspiration when she witnessed Violeta dying.

Violeta somehow starts sending messages like this to her kids.. ma’am, you could have said all this while you were alive. This is your wife and daughter.

Do you guys recognize the background? Yup, we’re in Selvadorada! Both to make a relic for Athena (and maybe Opal, but mostly Athena) and to find a spouse for Opal.

Opal meets María. She’s pretty, but we’ll see.

Could Andrea be a good choice for a wife? She’s gorgeous.

The three girls sitting at the table are my top three prospects: María, María Paula and Andrea.

At the renting house Octavia finally maxes the dancing skill, a skill she’s been working at since she was a teenager. I’ve been too lax with Tavi.

We work a little bit.. and boom we’re in the Temple!

Athena turns back into a redhead.. Yup, she’s been poisoned. We have no anti-dote, oops. And I apparently was so busy sending them and figuring out traps I forgot to take shots. Oops.

But back at the rental, Athena fused a relic together. Now she just needs a crystal.

I get nervous about Athena’s life. There’s no laptop at the rental buy the anti-dote, so .. we’ll see if she survives.

And she turns back with gray hair. She survived!

Aand it turns out none of our other prospects captured Opal’s interest as Fiorella Diáz, the bartender. Seriously, while I am doing this – they’re already friends. She’s not friends with the other girls.

I get so surprised when I see this shot.. Athena does know how to make friends, instead of enemies.

I think Opal is going to be the one to max the archaeology skill.

And we’re back home! It was a succesful trip – we got a relic and Fiorella.

We decide to make good use of Octavia and send her fishing.

Birdie is chosen to take over her late mother Violeta’s hobby. After all Birdie has already maxed several of the other musical hobbies.

And then Athena finally maxes handiness, a skill I forgot I hadn’t had her to max yet. She was lvl 9, but we pushed ahead!

Hi! We’re going to continue this challenge forwards.

Athena has been promoted, and whoop whoop. She’s chosen the Boss branch.. and one absolutely glorious thing about Athena’s career is that she can just shell out a few grand, and then next time she goes to work she gets promoted again.

Odette and Brianna look completely done with their mother.

Opal takes the violin skill, due to being lvl 4 from playing the violin as a kid. She looks blissful.

And then Brianna maxes the writing skill!! 5/40.

The girls congregate outside in the rain to eat for some reason.

Opal accidentally burns the grill.. and we get overkill with three fire-extinguishers. Well, it’s good to know that we have brave girls in this family.

It’s Winterfest! We got some gifts, nothing noteworthy.

And then Athena gets a really terrible reputation due to her fights. Oh man.

And then Opal maxes the violin skill! 7/40.

We need Athena also to finish the bodybuilder aspiration.. so we buy her some weights to even out her body potential.

Oh this is a normal look in this household. Odette is trying to max acting, Opal is baking and Birdie is trying to finish her goddamn aspiration.

Poor Violeta shouldn’t box, when she’s sick.

The teens go to each other.

And then we finally get this aspiration maxed! Yay!

And then this randomly happens, when I had someone collect seashells. Yas! Now we only need the buried treasures.

I swear I’m usually nicer to my Sims, especially sons..but Athena needed some mean interactions so she’d get promoted at work, and since we’re already kicking out Oliver when he turns YA.. he became the victim. Sorry.

Opal takes the wellness skill. It looks peaceful.

And then Birdie maxed the piano skill! 8/40.

Good girl! She keeps playing to finish writing her song, so so she can finish her aspiration.

Which happens nine hours later. Man song-writing takes forever.

Brianna decides to become an mixologist, and a bar is bought. Birdie goes in the entertainment career.

And then poor Violeta becomes old.. I forgot! I should have taken you to the cake, it was already made for the B-twins.

And this is Violeta’s masterpiece. Finally she completes her aspiration. I was starting to get worried.

Okay this is because I want Athena to live as long as possible.. so yeah. But I forgot she would age up when she was at work, ugh. And it’s like 3 days until she has to work again. Oh well, she’s hopefully not dying before so.

We decide to work on the rocket science skill for just the heck out of it. And okay, also because so she can finish the Nerd Brain aspiration, since she already needed handiness to get promoted in her career.

This is the household that will make me go mad.

And then! She gets home with a promotion, she’s a boss now! Man, she maxed her second career even BEFORE Violeta has maxed her second career.

Brianna comes home looking like a caterer, also promoted. Not chosen branch yet, but next time!

And this guy is an Anti-Eco or something, but I still had Brianna greet him. She needs friends and boyfriend for her Serial Romantic and Friend of the World aspiration, lol.

And then Odette somehow glitched here. I think the photos look pretty neat though, though I had to reset her to come back to working legs.

Opal is the only one I’m really working hard with the scouts aptitude since she’s gonna be the heir.. though in hindsight I should also have done it for the other kids.

Ollie gets the same glitch his older sister did and looks less than happy about having to carry a plate everywhere. Though it might have something to do with the stinky?

Oh girls. Well, this is as good as anywhere to do homework.

Though Birdie who apparently is in love with her Scouts outfit and Opal are smarter and actually go to the table.

Octavia and Oliver have turned into children. And why do we still have those baby beds?

Aand based on that outfit and the fact she looks slimmer than in the last photo – I’m having Athena do the Bodybuilder aspiration. Also this photo is cute. One of the last times she can cuddle her daughter like this. Can she even cuddle teenagers?

They need to get better grades, and what way is better than chess to skill up?

I decide that Brianna will max the Bestselling Author aspiration.. hopefully.

At this point, the cauldron is also often used for meals. It’s fairly useful, as I don’t think it expires, but maan.

Aand Birdie will do the Musical Genius one by maxing her guitar skills.

And while yes, you can see we maxed fitness! 3/40. I see I’ve forgotten to tell you that Athena actually quit her job immediately after she got to the top, and decided to become a criminal. She’s doing both the Mischief and Public Enemy aspirations.

And then hours later Birdie also maxes the guitar skill. 4/40.

After she completes her song, she moves to the piano skill.

Opal is doing the Creative Aspiration. I forgot to do the mental aspiration with her, and she’s ageing up too soon.

But despite her good skills, Birdie does need to do homework.

Violeta only needs one masterpiece.. and it’s eluding us to our big frustrations.

And then because I was stupid, the girls came home from school and aged up. Well, the downside of the poll is that you guys already know what they look like, but aren’t they adorable?! And on this note, we say goodbye.

Hey! So last week, we ended on the note of Athena having children, and you guys literally saw Athena’s life just grow.

Meet Opal and Odette Woodward, our new baby girls. For some reason this is our best shot lol. Anyway, as you can probably guess only Opal is the spellcaster here, as Odette got a normal bassinet.

After the birth, Athena gets into a fight with Father Winter.. Damn I need to get rid of Athena’s curse. I just can’t find the solution (potion or spell) yet. They got into two fights, each won each fight.

And immediately after birth Athena decides to go on the speeder to ride around the islands. Granted it’s because it’s needed for her job, but is it a good idea right after birth, Athena.. But then she’s just fought Father Winter, so she’s fine.

Athena and Violeta decide to try for their last child/ren. And Bad Apple of course.

Birdie gets a bath, lovely lady.

Athena attempts skilling and Birdie watches Athena for some thinking skills.

Poor Violeta passes out in the rain for some reason. And she’s also stinky..

Birdie maxes her potty skills.. not that she looks super happy about it lol.

Oh to be Brianna (not). Stinky and making the toys super stinky. Is it just me, or do the balls look even dirtier?

“Save me from this chaos.” I sweat that’s what it looks like she’s saying lmao. She’s looking straight at the camera..

Family meal, before the other twins grow up. Man I need to get rid of that table – the plates always lie that way. I’m aware it’s because it’s smaller-sized.

And then our angels Opal and Odette turn into twins, and they look so cute. And just as identical. This set also got brown eyes, so I love it for some variation! Wonder what the next baby is gonna have. Odette is the fancy princess and she is a charmer. Our tomboy is a independent toddler, so that’s great!

And look at this army of toddlers. Redhaired toddlers are so cute, you guys. Though the next heir’s spouse needs to have a different hair colour for variation.. Also ignore the different clothes from Opal and Odette, this is from a pre-crash. But this photo was just too cute to not include.

We spend a lot of time on skilling the toddlers, and roping the adults in.

And why the heck does Odette look so grumpy? C’mon sweetie.

Violeta continues to make the best faces at realizing her wife is pregnant. She looks like she’s asking if four kids aren’t enough. It sure is – I only plan on having one or two, lmao.

And I remember to add the flamingoes.

If looks could kill, then I think Opal would murder me lol.

Birdie obviously has too much free time, damn girl.

OPAL! Is this Mad Hour or what? Stop being a brat.

And then Birdie and Brianna grow up.. and Opal gets glitchy eyes. Actually, that was Birdie first, but then Opal got them.

Long Hair is Brianna, and top hair is Birdie.. and they immediately got sent to do homework. Birdie is hot-headed and Brianna neat.

Mama Athena looks like she’s gonna pop any second.

Opal’s eyes continue to creep me out. Also I love this corner.

And then it’s baby time! Agaain!

Baby Octavia decides it’s time to stand on her own feets immediately after birth… Good for you my gal!

But she jumped immediately back into her bed.. and look, she also got a twin brother Oliver, our first boy in the Woodward family. Also Oliver doesn’t appear to be a spellcaster, too bad for him.

It’s soo good to have kids, and not just toddlers. Like can toddlers do this? No!

Man the babies are needy. I don’t know what’s in the Woodward genes. I want that fixed.

They came home with a B! Good girls!

And as a reward, they get to clean up the island.

New neighbours came to say hi, and I think you can already guess what happened here based on those looks and Athena’s curse.. Also man, I just noticed the background! Forgot to take pics, but! I downloaded a new house – from ciyrose. It’s lovely.

Sorry babe! I love you, but it’s so chaotic in this house.

“Love you too, Watcher.”

I think? I hope she said that.

Whoo! Unlike their mama, I remember the babies’ birthday.

This angel is Octavia. And she got gray eyes. And unfortunately despite her spellcaster bassinet, Tavi is not a spellcaster. Darn it.

And so does her brother Oliver, who is the Bad Apple of the generation, and based on a tip from Teresa, he has a hat and will do so until YA.

I remember knowing who did this, but forgot to write it down. Man, someone is in trouble!

And the girls came home, and man this is typical sisters lol. They had a different Love Day experiences, and you can totally see who came out of this looking good. Brianna looks so goddamn smug.

And then Birdie’s school book glitches to her hand, but it looks totally cute here, like she’s just fallen asleep with her homework.

I love Meal time for my familes, and it’s no exception here.. and Birdie’s glitch continues on.

Even though it looks cool here, lol.

Damn you Birdie, I just know you did it based on your walk, and checking your moods.. yup you did it. Check your moods, girl. Also Brianna darling, you look cool.

Four toddlers, an exhausted mom and school girl up too late, this house is just .. wow.

This shot is enough to make me go in stress-mode if this had been real-life situation for me.

But Athena has her cool, and looks she has it, even as Opal keeps asking why. Thank God for her laidback trait.

And next day Opal steps up here looking like a boss.

And here I suddenly notice that besides looking like an absolute cutie, Opal has those witchy ears. Wow.

Oliver is mostly on his own, I don’t really bother with him. He may be the one who slips between the crack – as I’m just so busy with the controllable girls and moms.

Brianna is a future athlete. I swear I think she could do that.

And then my heart melts, as when I turn my attentions to these two.. they’re doing this autonomously. Aww! I’ve never seen anyone use the kiddy pool.

And then it’s the girls’ birthday! And that also means it’s time for a vote.

Anyway – as you can see the future traits for the girls – also only Birdie and Opal are spellcasters, but it doesn’t need to keep you only to them, since all of them have the weak bloodline trait. Happy voting!

Welcome back! Last time you guys met Athena and watched her start a glorious legacy. She became a spellcaster, Vlad’s snack and finally met her future wife Violeta.

But before we were due to return to Sulani, Athena decided to get some treasure.

Man I suck at taking pics – because this is the only other picture of Athena on her journey in the jungles. It didn’t go well – but we’ll try to do better next time. Sorry babe!

At home Athena and I realized, that she and Violeta were merely friends and thus.. Athena had to hold a dance party in Windenburg in order to meet Violeta. Which they did.. and this is Vi’s daytime clothes. Ehh. But look, the flirt landed!

She also makes good faces. I think I approve of your choice Athena!

Athena: “I always make good choices.”

And now meet the flamingoes I completely forgot to add on the place. But I decided to do this, instead of re-starting – we aren’t that far ahead in the challenge.

And then the first things break in the household, just in time for me to remember the Drews rule: Only repair during noon.

It’s romance festival, and we invite Violeta and manage to snatch a first kiss. Not a pretty background, but hey!

Looks like fellow redhead Lilith Pleasant approves of the redhaired newly-made girlfriends!

It’s the Love Festival, and Athena and Violeta can’t hide their passion.

Before long, Athena decides to pop the question. I’m sorry for the plumbob. But I love the look on Athena’s face – she’s so deliriously happy.

Both Athena and I were nervous about our fast proposal, but we decided to go with it. Luckily Violeta’s shocked smile means she’ll say yes.

The way Violeta admires her ring is cute, but Athena’s soft look and her hands crossed to her chest… Aww.

Athena attempts a failed duck-face or something? But these are fun ladies!

We quickly hurry towards the wedding arch, and in their slightly matching clothes Athena Woodward and Violeta Barruera get married. Also notice Angela Pleasant in the background.. The festival is just full of redheads tonight.

I’m probably gonna spam a little with these wedding photos. They’re just so gorgeous.

The smoke from the firework and their first kiss as wives. This is just adorable, and I can’t contain my excitement.

The heart firework is shot announcing to the town that a newly married couple has arrived on the scene.

They’re so happy – despite not really knowing each other for that long, but both are so absolutely sure they will live until they’re old and gray.

In the cover of darkness, three new flamingoes join to signify Violeta’s arrival to the family.

And I was too late to take a pic, so here enjoy an awkward pic of my girls making their own first baby.

First breakfast together as married women.

In the middle of the night Athena wakes up and finds out she’s pregnant.

Instead of being completely happy about the idea Violeta just makes faces.

And then she makes this glorious face, while Athena just watches serenely. I really don’t think Athena is really looking forward too becoming a mom.

But eventually she accepts the idea.. and I don’t think I ever really noticed how huge Athena’s boobs are until now lmao.

They enjoy their final time together as only the two of them, as before long they’ll have pittering feet around.

They decide to officially become best friends.

I can’t with the cuteness, y’all!

But despite the love and happiness, the pregnancy is hard on Athena. She’s definitely one of my Sims who takes pregnancy harder… Some of my other Sims just have super smooth pregnancies. Not Athena, and she’s required to be pregnant two more times.

She pees because the bathroom is broken.

Unfortunately a few hours later (the clock is 10.30), Athena pees herself again. We need more toilets in the household.

Violeta also badly wants to pee, but she quickly repairs the toilet.

You can just sense the relief in her face lmaol.

While eating her midnight snack Athena enters labour.

And our first babies of the challenge is born! Meet Brianna and Birdie Woodward.

Six more flamingoes are added to the block.

Birdie and Brianna are immediately glitched, as I find a new house for the Woodwards. They don’t just stop crying. It’s not until I exit the game and return that they’re green and quiet again.

It is Harvest Fest as well for our ladies.

Athena also finally completes the Beach Life aspiration to our joy.

Despite Violeta’s intentional reaction to Athena’s pregnancy, she absolutely dotes on Birdie and Brianna.

But we also continue to keep cleaning the island.

Birdie and Brianna get moved in the living room because they keep interrupting Athena’s sleep, and she desperately needs slep.

And then Birdie and Brianna turn into toddlers. I don’t know if you can see, but I’m pretty sure they’re identical twins. Brianna is wild, while Birdie is a fussy toddler. I thought both were spellcasters for some reason, but it’s only Birdie.

The twins age, means it’s time for Athena and Violeta to try for a baby. One of them is even wishing it. I’m not sure. The other does have a wohoo wish.

This is a house by lilsimsie, as I hated the super clutter in the other house. I’m happier this time, I think.

The twins take a lot of time from their parents, but we continue to work hard.

Really hard.

And then I wasn’t careful enough and Athena got cursed! The hostility one. This sucks.

But Athena and Violeta’s wohoo paid off! She’s pregnant with Baby O!

She immediately goes to tell Vi about the pregnancy.

Vi is still not happy about these news.

“Already? We already have two daughters. Who are toddlers, Athena.”

Sorry?

But she cheers up and says eh whatever, we can deal. I’m not also sure what’s going on with Violeta’s skin here. She isn’t sick..

I need to get better at taking some pics, because the only shots I have between this and the last pics are four shots: three of the toddlers in the darkness and one of Athena after showering.

But as you can see it’s Winterfest, and Athena is heavily pregnant. Also check out one toddler in the background – I know for a fact she’s just had a bath, and she’s green. No idea why she still looks dirty.

Unfortunately this pregnancy is just as hard on Athena this time, as it was last time.

I’m not sure this bathsuit is appropriate for a pregnanct lady, but okay. I added new bathsuits when I edited Birdie and Brianna, as they’re always swimming.

But they manage to open presents. I think Athena got the most expensive present? Everyone else got shitty presents.

We’ve changed Violeta’s career from Conservationist into a painter. I hope she’ll live to max the career.

Athena is in labour, but she’s fine just napping meanwhile on the boat.. Would have thought it would be uncomfortable..

Last time Violeta was asleep when Birdie and Brianna were born, but this time she guards over sleeping Athena.

Father Winter decides to come by in an .. appropriate outfit? At least he won’t be sweltering in his coat.

But we’re busy with Athena giving birth, and thus ignores Father Winter, and we’ll end the update on this note.

Welcome to the real start of my SimNano challenge and summer challenge.

As you can see Athena is more than ready for this challenge to begin.

This is a cute house we download from the gallery, but unfortunately I can’t remember the name. I never do..

Athena realizes she has to get a job – and we pick the Conservation job for her, as it makes most sense since Athena has to clean up the island.

Athena immediately heads toward her computer because she has a job to do.

A part of Athena’s day also goes to searching for seashells and trash. Both are needed for Athena – for her collection and for cleaning up the island.

The next morning Athena starts her day by eating a good breakfast.

She is lonely though as she lives on a secluded island with no neighbours (yet), so she greets Makoa Kealoha, who is her colleague. He’s always walking around the island. Now Makoa is a spouse in another challenge, so Liliana doesn’t need to worry. Also Athena needs to find her spouse in Selvadorada.

It is super disgusting work – but there’s nothing else to do for Athena.

It takes me some work since I’ve never been searching for the cave before, but before long Athena finds it and completes her job requirement for the day.

Nalani also often wanders, so Athena decides to make a friend. Why not Nalani?

Her aspiration requires Athena to get some tan, but it doesn’t mean she’ll need to burn herself.

And then she’s tanned, and we can move on.

Athena ends up in a conversation with Nalani (you can see her hair) and a bunch of buddies in the ocean. (She even pees in the ocean there! Whoops)

We continue building Nalani and Athena’s friendship.

Oh if I didn’t have the Selvadorada requirement.. the way they look at each other is cute.

And then that night Vlad crashes into Athena’s little house. Rude. I thought I had disinvited vampires? Huh.

And unfortunately for my girl she ends up Vlad’s snack for the night. Also is it just me, or has he jacked up his attacks?

It is time for Athena to work on becoming a spellcaster, so we go to the bar in Glimmerbrook to ask this guy where the portal is.

Athena: So .. where exactly is this portal? I’ve always dreamed about becoming a magician.

Tomax: Spellcaster! We’re spellcasters, not magicians lady!

Athena: Yes, yes.. but where is it?

Tomax: Search where the water is.

.. Not helpful dude.

But we found it, and now Athena runs towards her future. Go, Go, Go!

And then Athena arrived to a magicial world. She looks terrified.

Athena: “Where can I find a Sage? It’s how you become a magician, right?”

“They’re always here.”

Yes, but where here?

And the first spellcaster Athena found was Morgyn Ember.

“Can I become one of you guys?”

Morgyn: “Find the motes, and become one of us then.”

Sure.. the motes, alright then! We can do this!

Athena gets the gift, and off we go!

We give it to a surprised L. Faba!

And then a part of our jobs this generation is finished! Athena Woodward is a witch spellcaster.

And smug about this. This doesn’t mean you get to terrorise anyone, alright Athena?

“Maybe..

I mean it!

This kinda looks like the battle in Harry Potter – the one between Harry and Voldemort in the graveyard. Athena does lose, but hey. What does a new spellcaster expect against a Sage?

At home, Athena continues to spend a lot of time at her computer.

We decide to host a kava party for Athena’s aspiration and invite a bunch of people Athena knows. I didn’t manage to take a lot of pics, because maan! Kava parties are stressful! You just had to keep drinking and toasting until you got gold! But we got gold like an hour before the party ended.

Tomax invited us to a friendly duel, and Athena needing more training said yes.

As you see it’s going well for Athena somehow..

And we won! She looks so surprised. I know I am.

Considering this is the sage of Practical Magic, we decided to hit him up. After all, it will mostly be his spells that we can use on a daily basis.

I really thought I’d taken a pic of the trash left after the Kava party, but I can’t find it. But man, there was a lot to clean up for Athena.

And then we decide to travel to Selvadorada! It will be Athena’s day of next day, and we finished her job fast. The main goal of this vacation will be to find Athena’s future spouse – we will need to have children. Fast.

We meet Juan David. He’s handsome, but Athena remains unsure. What does she want in a spouse?

She’s not really into these two guys either.

These three end up being Athena’s final choices – Arturo, Isabel and Violeta. But Athena ends up being mostly drawn towards Violeta, and Isabel’s evil trait disqualifies her. It is Arturo who has the best traits.. but Violeta.

And it is Violeta Barruera who gets chosen. Violeta is hot-headed..

And we attempt to befriend Violeta. It goes really well, and I’m super happy about the choice, and we’ll thus end it on this note.

Hello! Welcome to reading me fumbling this challenge – it’s an OWBC challenge from Boolprop. This will be both my summer challenge and SimNaNo attempt. Hopefully this will go well! Cross your fingers.

Meet Athena Woodward – my founder. As you can guess Athena and her heirs will live in Sulani. Due to the challenges Athena and I picked, she has the Beach Life aspiration. Her traits are cheerful, active and ..

Island Living (9 points total)

• Have your founder choose a lot in Mua Pel’am, restore the island, and keep it clean for the remainder of the challenge. (3 points)
• Your founder needs to compete the beach life aspiration. Your subsequent heirs should complete at least one nature aspiration each. (3 points)
• By the end of the challenge, both the buried treasure and seashell collections should be complete. (3 points)

Jungle Adventures (9 points total)

• Founder/ALL heirs must go to Selvadorada to find their spouse…they must be a local. No going to Selvadorada and coming back with a townie who also happened to be on vacation! (3 Points)
• By end of challenge, one of the Ancient artifact collections need to be complete. (3 Points)
• Founder/heir must build a relic and use it on someone outside the family. (3 Points)

Realm of Magic (9 points total)

• Have your founder and all following heirs become a spellcaster. They will need to be turned in game, or born to a previous heir, they can not be made in CAS. (3 points)
• At the end of the challenge, your final heir should have the ancient bloodline trait. (3 points)
• Win a duel with each of the three sages. (3 points)

These challenges seem doable to me, and I can’t wait to start working on them with Athena. Now let’s look at the mini challenges I’ve chosen for Athena.

BoolProp Naming Scheme (10 Points)
Naming the first generation’s three children names that start with B, O and O. The second generation’s children would be given names that start with L, P and R. The third generation’s children would be given names that start with O, P and N (for .net, of course!). If twins are born they count as one letter, tough bananas! Name them both with the letter the one child would have been assigned and then you must have another child. So if I had my first generation heir have a boy that I named Larry, then a set of twins I would name them Peter and Paula, because they only count for one letter, I would then have to have them try for another baby to get a Rachel. Additional children born/adopted whether intentionally or accidentally are considered outside the naming scheme and can be named whatever you want.

One Bad Apple (10 Points)
Every generation one of your children will just plain be a bad apple. You get to choose which child it is at birth. Once chosen you cannot change it. A bad apple cannot be controlled until they become a young adult. You can not select your bad apple until they are a teen. You may not view their needs or skills, you may not view anything that you cannot already see with all of the interface fully collapsed. As a child and teen you cannot control them at all. At this point you may also just move them out so they can be controlled by story progression. Having the Bad Apple be taken by a social worker or die before reaching young adult causes you to lose this mini-challenge. You may purchase aspiration rewards that your Bad Apple has rightfully earned. Bonus bonus points if your bad apple earns negative character traits!

Family Scrapbook (10 Points)
Every member of the family must have either their picture taken, portrait painted (paint from reference) and hung somewhere about the house. You can choose the age or do multiple ages, take group shots or individual pictures, it’s up to you. Your house must contain a picture of everyone that has ever lived in the house by the end of the challenge. Also, each generation, starting with the founder, must write one novel, to keep track of the family’s memories. In total four novels must be written: one by the founder and one by each of the three heirs (first gen, second gen, third gen).

On Ley, Not the Lonely (10 Points)
At the beginning of the challenge you must enable the On Ley Line lot trait, and leave it on for the entire challenge. You must woohoo and give birth on your home lot for the entirety of the challenge. Multiple children will only count as one pregnancy and each generation must still have three pregnancies. Each pregnancy will count as one letter if you are doing the Boolprop Naming Theme mini-challenge. Each child born during the challenge will also need to have at least one character trait (positive or negative) upon finishing their teen years.

Collector (10 Points)
Each generation one sim out of the 3 pregnancies must gather a full collection of anything in the collection tab that has at least 15 items in it. You can choose to do only three, one for each of the generations, or have the founder do one and get an extra 5 points.

Tricks of the Trade (20 Points)
Max all skills at least once with any combination of household members!
Workaholics Anonymous (15 Points)
Top any 10 career tracks with any combination of household members!

Aspirational Family (20 Points)
Complete all aspirations available to you at least once! (Spares may be used to complete aspirations that are location-based.)

Now, I’m not yet sure if I will manage the aspiration and the skills – but I will work on it – I may fail at some of the challenges, but these are challenges I’ll be working for. Anyway the challenge will start for real soon.
