Water Day

We decided to do a water day with Daxen. He has been wanting to show Aunt Halee his new slide he got! $5 at Walmart, not to Shabby! I don't know about other kids but Daxen is a wimp when it comes to water. Any water drop that comes near his eyes he has a COME APART. He did well considering we threw him down the slide to teach him how to slide on his belly. After many attempts he decided he was done with that and wanted to jump on the tramp with the sprinklers underneath. He still didn't want to land on the water but we convinced him to do it. He had fun after that. He is now asleep from a fun filled day!

North Dakota Trip

This past week we took a trip to North Dakota to pick up Schyler and Halee. We moved them back to Utah! :) We are very excited that they are going to be much closer now and not 17 hours away. The trip was great but it was a lot of driving. In seven days we traveled from Utah to Idaho, Idaho to Montana, Montana to North Dakota, North Dakota to South Dakota, South Dakota to Wyoming, Wyoming to Utah. 6 States in 7 Days. Daxen was a trooper through the entire thing.

On the way to North Dakota!

When we arrived in North Dakota we were able to enjoy a chemistry show done by Halee. It was fun to watch her and see how passionate she was about everything. I HATE chemistry but I could like it if that is what I got to do all day!

Everyone who came and watched

I don't remember what this one was called.

This one was a rainbow one. She kept dumping water into these glasses that would turn them to the colors of the rainbow and then back to cear. At the end she added them all together and it turned out clear. It was pretty neat.

Traffic Light. When you shake this bottle is goes from Yellow to Green to Red. Each of the kids got a turn!

We had a graduation party at Planet Pizza. There was blow up toys and arcade games!

Daxen loved every minute of it. He loved this game because first off it was a Thomas the Train game and he hit the Jack Pot all by himself.

His favorite Aunt Halee

We also went bowling. I don't know if you can really see Daxen's shoes but they have bowling shoes his size and they were so CUTE. I really wanted to keep them.

We were in South Dakota when we stopped at Reptile Gardens, Bear Country, Rushmore Cave, and Mount Rushmore.

I was afraid Daxen wasn't going to like Reptile Gardens because of the Snakes. He hasn't like them in the past. He was a little scared at first but quickly warmed up to them because he understood they were behind glass and couldn't get him. He ended up even buying a stuffed animal snake when we left.

Daxen's favorite. He would run back and forth when Daxen would drag his finger on the glass.

Taking a bath.

Daxen was not to sure about this guy. I had to talk him into standing that close! But he did it! :)

These mirrors were the best. We were laughing so hard and having a great time! :)

These guys were the best part. They let us pet them and they loved it. We started petting one and the rest of them made their way over.

My Handsome boy! :)

He touched a snake. I think it helped that he couldn't see exactly what he was petting!

The next stop was Bear Country U.S.A

If you have never been there you first start out by driving through the park where the animals are. The bears are the best part and they walk right up next to the cars.

After you drive through the park there is a place where you walk around to see the babies of the animals. The bears again are the best. They are so cute! I just wanted to hold one.

Schyler, Halee, and I went to Rushmore Cave. Daxen had fallen asleep so my Mom and Dad stayed behind to watch him. They are the best :) I am not sure the pictures to the cave justice but it was BEAUTIFUL.

Our next stop was Mt. Rushmore.

My Tuckered Out Boys

I have to say what a Great Husband I have. He has been such a big help and it always taking care of me. On a side note I became pretty sick Sunday morning. I don't know about the rest of you but our conversations begin with Stevie telling me to tough it out. Not that this is a bad thing but when I am really sick TOUGHING it out just is not an option and that was the case of this sickness that lasted 3 days. When all was said and done I was a lot sicker than the hubs expected and I was able to whine and cry about being sick. Needless to say I do realize at some point when I am sick I can no longer whine and cry but have to tough it out because there is no other option! Things need to get done. I do have to say that Stevie does have some truth to the statement of toughing it out! He has some validity to what he is saying, because there comes a point when you just have to tough it out because there is no other option! The past three days were pretty miserable but I am thankful for Stevie for doing everything. He wouldn't let me lift a finger! Whatever I wanted he got. He also had a pretty good helper right along side of him to help take care of me. It is sweet to have a little voice come up to you and say "You not feel good mom" with a big hug! These two boys were tuckered out but I am thankful for the effort that they put in to take care of me!!

Easter 2011

The Easter Bunny forgot to put out Daxen's basket for him Easter morning. He had to come back while we were at church and put everything together! :) Hiding the Easter basket is tradition for us but with the surprise that came with it, it was set up in the living room. We came home from church and he was very excited about what he saw. The board has the chalk board, paper, and the white board on the other side to draw on.

We went over to Nana and Papa's house after church where the grand kids got presents from them. We enjoyed eating a great meal plus lots of candy! They also set up an Easter egg hunt for all of the boys. The best part about it was the eggs were full of coins instead of candy!

The present Daxen got from Nana and Papa.

This was Kamron's toy from Nana and Papa but Daxen loved playing with it.
